Can't progress - Horny doesn't take portal gem

I'm up to the 16th level, Stonekeep with Lord Pureheart. Defeating him isn't a problem, but Horny doesn't come to collect the portal gem. I've killed him with Horny, without, drawing him off into my dungeon, in his courtyard, in two different attempts on the level. Single disc edition, patched with 1.73. Is there a cheat or a save game file I can use?

i think the cheat to skip a level was ctrl+Alt+C "do not fear the reaper"
try that

I recall there was a glitch with 1.73 in which Horny wouldn't come to collect the gem, can anyone confirm that?

I made a fix for level 1. I may fix this level too but not until tomorrow. It you can wait I can do that.

Yes, patch 1.73 has that kind of bug. You can either skip the level by cheating, or wait for a fix.

Thanks guys! I'll try the cheat and look back occasionally to see if some lovely person has made a fix. Damn I love this game.

I really thing that the only way you can get past it without cheating would be to go into the dk2 editor, find what the trigger(s) to make horny appear from other levels, and copy that into the 1.73 game....
