HK's Complete Guide on Horned Reapers
In this guide, I will show you how to control the Horned Reaper in DKII, as you would in DKI.
To do this, we must first make horny a regular creature, on a custom map.
Therefore, you will need the Map Editor for DKIIShow Download Link
After that, you will need to get the Pro version for the editorShow Download Link
Click here if you do not know how to install the editors
To install the regulat DKII editor, simply copy the files in the downloaded zip file to the following directory:
"(DKII Install Directory)\data\editor\"
To install the Pro Editor, simply copy the executable into the same directory as the regular editor's directory.
Getting Started
Open up the Pro Editor, and create a simply map. Make it small for now, just for testing purposes (about 50 X 50 is good).
Go to the Configuration Menu and go to Creature Types....
In the Creature Window, select Horny from the creature list.
Show Screenshot
Now Modify the Following settings:
- [D] Horny
- [E] Can Be Picked Up
- [E] Available via Portal
- [E] Generate Dead Body
- [E] Frees Friends on JailBreak
- [E] Is Fearless
( [D] = Disable, [E] = Enable )
Now Change the following attributes int the attribute Drop Down Menu:
( located under the creature selection drop down )
- Experience Points (Per Second) = 100
- Experience Points from Training = 20
- Eye Height (Tiles) = 0.85
- Health From Chicken = 400
- Pay = 750
- Max Gold Held = 7500
- Speed (Tiles per Second) = 0.8 (DKI Style)
- Run Speed (Tiles per Second) = 2.09
- Distance Can See (Tiles) = 8
- Distance Can Hear (Tiles) = 8
- Slap Damage = 240 (Optional)
- Sleep Duration (Seconds)= 12 (DKI Style)
- Initial Gold Held = 500
- Torture Time to Convert (Seconds) = 90 (I based this off other creatures)
- Stun Duration (Seconds) = 0 (Since Horny will disappear when stunned)
- Possession Mana Cost (Per Second) = 800 (Based off other Creatures)
- Torture Health Change (Per Second) = -10 (Based off othe Creatures)
- Perception Range (For of War) = 8 (Optional)
Now, for the final few changes in this window:
- Change the armour type to Metal 1
- Change Lair Object to Warlock Creature Bed
- Change Entrance Effect to Salamander Portal Entrance
The last thing to set before proceeding is to set the attractions.
I set it to Training Room, but you can change it to whatever you like.
Moving on...
Jobs, Attacks and 1st Person Mode
Starting with the jobs.
These are optional, but I strongly recommend you set them, or you will get an oddly misbehaving Reaper. You can set them to whatever you like, but if you would like an idea, here are my settings at the moment. I WILL change these in the future, as they are not yet complete.

Now, on with attacks.
So far, when you summon horny, you will only get a reaper that attacks melee and shoots fireballs, and this really sucks, cause the intro shows a much cooler Horned Reaper.
So I think it would be wise to modify the attacks.
Again, you can modify these in anyway you like, but I have found that these prove to be the most useful:

I just thought that the Skeleton Army feature proved to be quite a good idea, considering that Horny was accompanied by a skeleton army in the intro
Now on for 1st Person Mode.
Not much to do here.

One Last Thing
A map must always have a "Horny", and our map doesn't have one.
Remember in the "Getting Started" section, we disable the option called "Horny", so now our map no longer has a horny creature
(I've been dying to say that)
So now, we must set the "Horny" feature to another creature.
The best option you can have is to set it to one of the three Princes.
Here is an example:

So now, we must forbid the player from using the Summon Horny Spell, as it will spawn a Prince on our map, which is weird, useless, and downright stupid ...
So, go to the Configuration Menu, and select Keeper Spell Types...
In the window that comes up, select the Summon Horny spell, and change the Mana Cost to 3000. This will make it unavailable, and just for reassurance, change the Shot Type to <none>.
Testing our Settings
Well then, now add a Dungeon Heart to the map, a Portal, and a [B]Training Room. Add some empty areas to build the Lair, Hatchery and Treasury. Add an enemy, just for fun.
Save your map, and make sure you make it a skirmish level.
Show Example and Screenshots
Save the map, and play the game. Horned Reapers should start pouring in.
Train them and have fun wrecking havoc
Tip: In the editor, if you load a map, then start creating another one after it, without closing the editor ( File -> Close, File -> New ), the settings from the previous map will remain. SO... load this map whenever you want to create a map that supports Horny, then close it and start creating a new one.
My suggestion would be to open the Creature Types... window and click OK, just for the editor to save the values.
A Bug
When Horned Reapers spawn, you will need to pick them up and drop them into your dungeon, as this will happen:

It's both weird and funny, but it seems that Horny gets stuck in the portal. You will be notified if this happens, as the mentor will say "Your creatures are unable to get to a Lair".
Credits
Anyway, that concludes this guide.
Feel free to comment, post improvements, and/or any mistakes I may have done.
Criticism is good
Anyway, Special Thanks to:
MGR - Metal Gear Rex, for the Editor Pro Link, and for the Horny regular creature method.
dk2player - For all support given.
Cya and Have Fun!
All Great Keepers start with a Dungeon Heart, but only the Legendary Keepers start with a Torture Chamber
