Using the editor is easier and less of a pain in the ass than using the Notepad. I don't want to search the whole file.

The editor I'm talking about is "The Unofficial Editor". This is the file name: dk1ed103.zip. It's been around a long time, and you can edit a a lot of stuff with it. ie: creatures, rooms, spells, etc.

But KeeperFX doesn't use the old Creature.txt/Dd1creat.txt files' data anymore (which was used by DK1Ed). Each creature's data is stored into different .CFG files for more easiness. And to edit these values, you must use Notepad you dislike so much... unless someone makes a creature editor which specially edit the files. But for now, it's not that hard and complicated to edit the creatures using Notepad.

Nevermind then. Too much work. And yes, it is complicated. For me anyway.

How is it complicated to open a file into Notepad? Or are the .CFG files complicated?
You can also use Notepad++ to edit the files. You simply right-click on the file and select "Edit with Notepad++". Simple as that.

Anyway, I'd be glad to help if you need it.

KeeperFX config files are as easy to modify as they come. I don't even know how a program could improve on that, other than having pretty icons or such.

Sorry, I meant editing inside the file itself. It's just the way the files are written is just too confusing for me to really figure out. Which is why I prefer using that "Unofficial" editor I talked about earlier, it does the editing for me when I want to change stuff.

Edit: And it doesn't have pretty icons. lol.

I understand richard. That editor is more comfortable. I use Notepad++ to modify them now. I could need a list with the power names.

Perhaps you didn't noticed, but Richard's last post is 4 months old...

Anyway, sure, such an editor would be nice, but if you want, I could try to make one once I'll have plenty of free time.
