Keeperfx will not start

Hey I'm sorta new around here, just created my account today, but have been lurking these forums for debugs and fixes to dk2, but thats a besides the point. I just downloaded Keeperfx, but it will not start. It starts the intro and when the intro ends it makes thats windows error noise and closes the game. I have tried sitting through the intro and skipping it and I cannot begin the game. Anyone run into a similar error or know a fix?

Did you read the readme file?
Are keeperfx execs on DEP list?
What's the last LOG line?

I opened a text document simply called keeperfx and it had this inside.

There should be a file named "keeperfx.log" in the folder where the executable is. Open it with a text editor such as notepad.

EDIT: Never mind, looks like you figured that part out.

alright i made the DEP exceptions and you have seen my log files still nothing it wont start.

Well, looking at the error messages it seems like you're missing a number of files.

Are you sure you installed KeeperFX properly? (KeeperFX 0.40 does need some files from original Dungeon Keeper)

You're missing some of KeeperFX data files. Start the launcher and it will tell you which files are missing.

You do know that you need to use launcher to copy files from original DK?

I just extracted the rar, I could have sworn that was all I had to do the first time i got it, a year or so ago I dont really remember, is there another step after extraction?

Yes, there is now a launcher which you need to use to get DK1 files first, from a DK1 CD or installation.

I thought the original thread said I didnt need dk1, where would I get these files if I didnt have them?
