Ribs the Clueless

Ribs recieved some answers and had Ivan's hat removed from him.

"Aww, I liked that hat," Ribs murmured. Ivan finished, "And I'll leave you to guess my gender with those annoying questions..."

Ribs took a moment to think.

"Well..." Ribs began, "You kinda sound like my ex-girlfriend... but your voice is definately man...ish..."

Ivan had already began crawling on the ceiling and continued along. He was followed by two more Spiders, peeking Ribs' interest. But before Ribs could continue on, the voice of Larquidos barely reached his non-existent ears.

"...We're supposed to take prisoners, Ribs..." Larquidos spoke to him.

Ribs looked around to see if nobody was looking at him first. It seemed as if nobody was. Ribs then raised his right hand and gave the ceiling "the finger" before rushing after Ivan, Skios, and Krua. Once caught up, he continued to walk normally alongside them.

Ribs began speaking to Ivan, Skios, and Krua, "So are you three Spiders part of some kind of Spider gang or something? You're all teamed together like you are. How's it like being a slave of Larquidos? Say what are your names anyways? I'm Ribs."

"And who are you?" Ribs pointed at Krua, "I've never seen you before."

Summery: Ribs replied to Ivan, then gave Larquidos the finger and hurried after Ivan/Skios/Krua. He began talking to them, asking if they were apart of a Spider Gang, and asked what it was like being Creatures of Larquidos. He asked their names, introduced himself, and specifically asked Krua her name.

Skios noticed Ribs catching up and talking to him and the other spiders. He asked whether they were part of a "spider gang".

"Nope, we're not part of a gang. I barely even know that guy.", he said while pointing to Ivan.

"And", he pointed to Krua, "she's my sister."

When Ribs asked them their names, Skios replied:

"My name is Skios, and she's Krua."



Then Ribs started talking to Krua. She quietly said:

"...like he said... name's Krua... ...and I haven't seen you before either..."

Both spiders just continued walking ahead.

Summary: Skios and Krua having a conversation with Ribs.

What Skios told Ribs caught his attention and he became very curious about something.

"She? So..." Ribs turned to Krua, "...that does bring up an interesting question..."

I wonder if I should ask her this.... ah I'm sure she'll be fine with it.

"How do Spiders mate?" Ribs blurted aloud.

Ribs

Krua didn't particularly feel the need to reply, so instead Skios answered Ribs'... unusual question.

"Well, spider guys have these reproductive organ things, and then they stick those in spider girls' reproductive openings, and then eggs appear."

The Lair

Thefsuth's crusty eyelids retracted back over his moist eyes. The peaceful processes of the mind twisted and twirled into conciousness and-

"HOW DA' FART DID I GET 'ERE!?"

Thefsuth creaked upright with the face of annoyance resembling the decaying remains of a large flattened rodent*

This doesn't even try to make sense! How could I go from being perfectly occupied in one moment ta being flat on my back in my bed tha next!? If I knew who was responsible for causality round 'ere I'd be puttin' my foot so far up their behind they'd 'ave to digest my toenails BACKWARDS.

'KEEPAH! You pretend to be in charge 'ere! Where is everyone! Tell me what they're doing so I can ponder how wrong dey are doing it while I eat my breakfast.'

Thefsuth staggered into The Hatchery. and scooped up a chicken.

'Chickens always taste better when I know some sod's gonna get what's coming to 'em,'

Thefsuth peeled his breakfast with his neglected finger nail.

'Taste like productivity.'

Thefsuth awoke and asked Larquidos where everyone was and what they were doing. He went to the hatchery and started his breakfast.

*In actuality Thefsuth's face always looked like that, exsept now it looked like that while being annoyed

Ivan ignored Rib's question about how Spiders reproduce, and instead started to crawl along the wall faster.

Rob continued walking in the hallway. He started to notice there are gold veins appearing.

"Ahh, Thefsuth. You've awakened. Evidently my possession of your body wound up taking more out of you than we had both envisioned. I thought you'd done rather well adjusting back to your feeble self after I left you, but it was obviously a delated affect, but, nevermind that."


A loud hiss was heard coming from the west. A terribly loud, fierce, and angry hiss. A hiss which heralded doom and destruction for all those inside - in draconic. So it kind of fell on deaf ears. Nevertheless... and mentor says this with great deliberation and a pre-emptive dramatic 1980's music for your pleasure;

DRELL IS COMING.

"Indeed, Mentor? Well then..." Larquidos trailed off briefly as the severity of the situation dawned on him. He had two minions in his dungeon, one of whom was crazy, and the other of whom couldn't withstand a little itsy-bit of a keeper possession. He was, for all intends and purposes, screwed. Composing himself, Larquidos started up again "Thefsuth, I think you're about to have a rather rude awakening. Do what you can to delay Drell - make new traps, or distract him and maximise the damage the current ones can do to him. It may very well be only a matter of time before he starts ravaging up this place, and your master. And you don't want that. Your gold would be WORTHLESS."

Incidently, we need another tad-bit of a delay whilst this whole Drell thing is sorted out!

Val'Kaz and Necrotyc continued to lead the pack of creatures, though Rob was close behind and the spider 'trio' not far behind him.
The sounds of infernos popping in and out of existance not far to their left put them slightly off guard - they weren't eager to find out exactly what was causing the sound, though they were lying to themselves. They already knew there was nought but a thin wall protecting them from the heat of a lava lake.

Walking as he had been, Necrotyc found quite suddenly that there was a knife lodged between his ribs, and that it hadn't been there but a moment before. In addition, he was hearing rather un-subtle voices. Initially, he thought he must be going crazy, but they he heard the heroes bickering.

James: You blasted fool, Jack. He's a skeleton. He doesn't have a heart to pierce. By the Avatar, now you've ruined our surprise attack!

Val'Kaz, using the voices as a guide, raised his arms in the general direction of the sound and, with a cast of brizot, launched a fireball at the invisible figure, which then gave a loud 'oof' and landed on the ground, his invisibility magic wearing off.

Mike: God damnit, James, you're not supposed to become visible! Now we've got the fight!

Necrotyc unsheathed his sword from his lower rib and took several steps backward, beckoning for Val'Kaz to do the same.
"Meet up with the others", Necrotyc suggested. Val'Kaz gave a nod, his arms poised to fire as he walked backwards towards the pack. Necrotyc did the same with his sword held in a defensive position, and his shield raised to protect his torso.

Summary: Larquidos is worried that Drell is going to pwn him, and asked Thefsuth to help delay him.
Meanwhile, Val'Kaz and Necrotyc came under attack by 3 invisible thiefs, but they're returning to the group and are ready to fight.

Ribs the Clueless

"Well, I know that much..." Ribs replied to Skios.

Ribs then began to look over at Krua again and observed certain parts of her.

"But what I mean is... where... are... they...?" Ribs continued to look at Krua in a strange fashion.

Ribs, somehow, noticed both Krua and Skios appearing to be a little odded out by his own questions. What were they thinking? Had he offended him? What if they all jump him! If so... it would be three against one and surely he'd lose... he needed friends to back him up for protection... but what friends did he have?

...ah yes! The Diarrhea Warlock and his Skeleton slave!

Ribs told the Spiders, nervously, "Uhh... well I'd better be going..."

Ribs ran ahead after Val'kaz and Necrotyc. It wasn't long until he had them in his one-eyed sight.

"Hey! Diarrhea Warlock!" Ribs called out like a fool, "I need you and your Skeleton Slave's hel-huh...?

Ribs saw a Thief on the ground, but he already began getting up. Not only that, but he could see some white figures as well, and they seemed to make out Thieves too!

"Hey uhh... I think some of them are invisible!" Ribs told Val'kaz and Necrotyc, "Two of them..."

Well, the Thief that was on the ground should be an easy target...

"Don't worry, Skeleton friend and Warlock... not-enemy..." Ribs said to Val'kaz and Necrotyc as he tightened his grip on his bow and took an arrow out from his quiver, "I'll back you up, and we'll take on these Thieves!"

This could be it... the time has come for Ribs to prove his worth. He needed to snipe a single Thief in the head, and boom... instant kill. This surely would be easy due to his knowledge of how the Thief's mind work. He could save his allies, and, more importantly, be rewarded with riches and women.

Such thoughts made Ribs excited, he knew he could not fail. If he made himself known as a Hero, surely he could sit around all day in Larquidos' dungeon, drinking. Yes, the time has come!

"Prepare yourself..." Ribs said cooly, pointing his arrow at his target.

In one swift motion, Ribs positioned his bow in front of him and pulled the arrow back. He pointed his finger from his bow hand at his target, determined for a shot inbetween his enemy's eyes.

The arrow pulled the string back, and suddenly... part of the bow slipped from Ribs' grip and flew back, only to hit Ribs in an empty eye socket. Ribs had forgotten... a crucial mistake...

"...oh... right... broken... damn it..." Ribs murmured shamefully.

Ribs looked back at Val'kaz and Necrotyc, speaking to them once again, "Uhh... do you think you guys can handle it?"

Summery: Ribs continued to ask his disturbing questions but felt that the Spiders were offended and going to "jump him" so he ran ahead to get assistance from Val'kaz and Necrotyc, only to meet the Heroes. He said that there were two invisible Thieves as well. He felt he needed to prove his worth, so he tried to be a Hero and stepped forward to take out one of the Thieves, then prepared his bow and arrow.

He then remembered the hard way that his bow had been broken, and he asked Val'kaz and Necrotyc if they could handle it.

The Hatchery

Thefsuth spat out the chicken after hearing his Keeper's reply.
'Aye thought I TOLD YA to tell me where everybody has buggered off to so that I could politely ask you to take me to 'em! Now yer askin' me to defend tha dungeon by my lonesome!' Thefsuth bent down and snorted up the pre chewed chicken stain he spat onto the floor. 'At least do somefink mildly smart with that used nappy you call your brain and pick up some of ma fellow dungeon dwellers and return them to tha dungeon to aid ma. I might just die of loneliness otherwise!'

RROOOAAAAARRR!

'Well, I'm more likely ta die of dragon.'

Not wanting to waste time in the face of looming dragony death, Thefsuth pottered off to his workshop and started constructing a freeze trap.

Thefsuth requested Larquidos return a creature or two to the dungeon to aid him in fighting Drell. He also started construction on a freeze trap.

[Mothrayas]

As soon as Skios noticed the presence of more heroes in front of him, he immediately jumped on top of the one lying on the ground and bit him in the throat. At the same time, Krua threw a Freeze ball at another of the thieves, freezing him completely.

However, the thief managed to throw Skios off him, sending him back to his allies who were grouping up there.
