    Lightbulb 2 questions

    1: how do you stop heroes from entering through a hero gate ?
    not in campaign but in the editor: -Trigger: when slabs = 12 (Keeper 1)
    -Action : Collapse hero gate at '' ''

    that isn't enough because even if they are collapsed they still spawn heroes

    2. Is it possible to get the speeches like in the campaign in a self-made map ?
    for example if a new room is available that the guy who tells u everything tells u information about that room if you click on it.
    if yes : how ?

    1. Yes. Heroes come not from the portal, but from the waypoint. If you want to make connection between portal and waypoint, use flags.

    Game start, Flag x=0

    Now, your trigger for heroes starting to come, and add another trigger to it
    When flag x=0,
    Create hero party

    Now, with the portal. when slabs =12
    collapse HG
    and add another one, flag x = 1.

    Ole. Heroes stop coming.

    2. Theoretically, yes. Each speech has a number assigned. If you record a speech, give it a number after the last speech in game, theoretically, it should work. Never tried that tho.

    2. Under level variables, you set the speech of each level. You can go and listen to the speech files yourself, and also look at the official levels to see how it is done. That's how I learned. Except for DK1, it is just that DK2's editor manual is too messed up.

    as for the 2nd question, never mind about it, I assume everybody knows what every room does

    You know, you can go any further by adding your own texts and voices, but it's not as easy as 1-2-3... You must use some utilities to be able to do that.

    Take a look at Mefisto's DK2 Tools page. There's also the DK2 Official Editor Manual there if you need help for editing stuff.
