What i still dont quite get its who is this shadowy mysterious character? the mentor? some random creature that its there for plot purposes?

I always thought that if a Keeper wanted to hold a conversation with a Creature she'd put his hand of evil into a fist and move her thumb of evil up and down to make it look like it's talking!

Rogue says "...must find the Keeper..." and that guy responds "You have him in front of you.". How more obvious do you want it to be to realize that the hooded figure IS the Keeper?
I see it's drawn in japanese manga style, with peoples eyes over half their faces. XD Lookin' good so far. ... Is it just me or are Portal's closer pillars too far away? This way, it looks like it has pillars in 2 corners and other 2 half a meter or meter away from the corners...
