Hello!

I have a problem with playing levels that have had their numbers changed; they always seem to cause the game to freeze when loading at the point when the disc symbol appears. I know to change the number in the .lif file, and I always play Deeper Dungeons on Windows XP, if that helps.

I guess this problem relates to Mapmaking, but feel free to move it to troubleshooting.

If you're playing Deeper Dungeons, the map number can't go over 255.
Ensure that the number in your .lif file has the same number as the level files and ensure that it is followed by a title. Also, make sure the number doesn't overlap an existing level number.

Dungeon Keeper and Deeper Dungeons both support map numbers up to 255 only.

You can always save the level with lower number using ADiKtEd - it's fast and easy, once you learn the keys.

To play higher numbers without renaming maps, you will have to use KeeperFX.

I brought it down to 250 and it worked! Many thanks :)
