Dungeon Keeper II is randomly crashing, anytime between 5 and 60 minutes into a game. I used the instructions on this Neoseeker thread (http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/2820/t1394451-dungeon-keeper-2-how-to-run-under-xp-vista-win7/) to get the game working initially, and I'm about to try out the Unsafedisc application to see if that stabilizes the program.
The error always manifests the same way - everything but the cursor and sound freezes for a few seconds, then about 3/4 of my screen goes black, then I get the 'DKII.exe has crashed' dialogue, and I have to exit the program.
I am running 64-bit Windows 7, with an ATI Radeon HD 6850 video card (fully-updated) and a quad-core CPU. The version of Dungeon Keeper II that I have is an ISO obtained from Demonoid.me of the Silver Edition, and the version is shown as 1.7 at the initial menu.

For a while, I couldn't find anything related to the crash...but look at what I found in the event viewer....

I don't know how to read event viewer logs, but if someone here does, do you know what it means?

There's no problem with your system. The only problem is that DK2 is unstable on every system starting from Windows XP to Windows 7.

I managed to get it working a bit better with instructions from this forum, but now all of a sudden I can't load a game or start a new game. It's annoying me because I'm at Creep in Stonekeep and that's got to be one of the most tedious levels that there is.
