View Full Version : New mechanics found - sacrificing gold

I bet all the hard fans know what happens if you sacrifice gold.

(btw, Polish translators took the phrase "wishing well" quite literally, and Polish mentor says something like "It is going to be worse, keeper!")

Anyway, I was just remaking the sacrificing gold code, and noticed it's a bit more complex than playing the mentor speech.
The gold you sacrifice is divided between your allies and given to them - if only you are allied with anyone.
Mentor quote kicks in only if the player has no allies.

Very nice to still find features 2 decades after the game has been released!

Now to get some 4 player multiplayer maps and good net-code and this will be very useful.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention this part of code is only active in network game.

In KeeperFX, I removed that condition - in single player you can share gold with allies too.
