Hi, so I wanted to play DK1 again. I used keeperfx before and i think it worked fine. Now im using keeperfx_ccp_0_4_6_complete and the game crashes after 30s of playing. I tried running as administator, didnt help.
I get this error every time the crash occurs http://i.imgur.com/wcVrXGI.jpg

I found this in log file: Sync: play_sample_using_heap: Can't start playing sample 172

I tried to patch keeperfx with any of nightly build but I cant unpack them, there is some archive error or something. Thanks in advance for help guys

That line in the log file isn't the problem. It's best if you zip your log file and post the entire file.

The nightlies can be extracted just fine, are you sure you have 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) installed on your PC?

It mentions hvlog.exe. Heavy-logging is only used for testing purposes.

Oh mercy I forgot how taxing heavylog is on your framerate. Use keeperfx.exe or launcher.exe, preferably the latter.

Yeah I found out that I need 7zip to make it work, but still nightly didnt work. I tried to run it with keeper.exe and with keeperfx_hvlog.

Strange thing is that Dungeon Keeper Gold works fine, i mean it doesnt crash but its not smooth and resolution is bad so it doesnt solve the problem :)

I forgot about the log file.

There's nothing I can see from the log, so you'll have to wait on Mefisto for that.

In the meantime you can try to add the game to your DEP List (https://github.com/dkfans/keeperfx/wiki/Troubleshooting). Also make sure your virus scanner isn't causing any problems and you don't have the game running on a location you shouldn't (like a folder on your desktop).
Also try to see if your problem is related to directx, by forcing the 'windib (https://github.com/dkfans/keeperfx/wiki/Command-Line-Options)' video driver(with the launcher, run options, force driver, type it in the input field there).

If all that fails, it might also help to share a log file from the latest nightly build from keeperfx.exe (non-heavylog version). You can do so here, but have better visibility if you raise an issue on the issue tracker here (https://github.com/dkfans/keeperfx/issues).

Wait what? I have my KFX Folder on my desktop and it runs fine.

That's disgusting, you should keep your desktop nice and tidy, what would your mother say if she saw the mess you made?

And yes, KeeperFX can run fine anywhere, but your user account needs rights to the folder, and depending on how your PC is configured that can give a problem in the 'users folder'. (Desktop is a subfolder of the users folder). Program files can also be problematic.

Mefisto googled your error message here (https://github.com/dkfans/keeperfx/issues/714). The error message (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/145s8272.aspx) you have indicates faulty drivers, so look to update those.

Yeah, I saw his post. But which drivers should i upgrade, video + sound card?

Well, check for both if new drivers are available.
You can also look in your event viewer if there are errors listed there. The point is, look at this as a PC problem, not a KeeperFX problem.

Dungeon Keeper Gold works fine, resolution is worse tho and I cant play other campaigns. I updated my video drivers but there is nothng new for my sound card. Still crashes as it did before.

This guy here had the same error message as you and managed to fix it: https://keeperklan.com/threads/2966-R6028-Crash

Does it apply to you? Try to play the game with -nosound to confirm it is a sound card issue.

Edit: It was, see here (https://github.com/dkfans/keeperfx/issues/714). Included this issue in the FAQ (https://github.com/dkfans/keeperfx/wiki/Troubleshooting).
