lol, yeah. I noticed that when I fixed that Tunneller hell hound bug. In DK2, they have that feature where a creature can gain health if on your own land, used for King Regy and the Imps. This feature was to substitute for that. You needed it because you would be slapping your Imps a lot. :P

Well smoking supposedly does make you feel less hungry. At least that is what the majority of post apocalyptic literature tells me...

Though I don't quite know how they are able to smoke when, I don't remember giving them permission to breath!

My theory of why imps can't make a descent cup of tea.

but of course this is Dungeon Keeper, not animal planet so that is just my interpretation :P

I love your theory of imp-keeper interlinked species... but it doesn't really fit with being summoned/formed of mana by the Keeper themselves. Maybe long ago they were an independent species that the early Keepers enslaved and in the uncounted time since have, A.) become so corrupted they couldn't naturally reproduce, and, B.) got hooked on mana, which over millions of generations slavery and secretly using has permeated the very nature of their species so they can't live without it. The reason they can be summoned is because they have been with the Keepers so long that the Keepers have a unrivaled deep understanding of every fiber of their being. Easy... evolved symbiosis =)

Actually the only reason why they don't rely on mana in the first game is because mana didn't exist, obviously. This is why the DK2 idea stands better, they need mana to keep themselves alive. They are made from mana, kill one and you'll see what I mean :P

Also, I always saw them as sorta children of the Keeper as they are created from them... therefore, I question the abilities of a Dungeon Keeper who slaps and kills his own life children...

I see that nobody has issues with the imp, and that the background story is the only thing missing. I think the game should have story-based easter eggs

Wouldn't it be funny to see a hand mark on the imps cheek? I slap my imps so much!

Well, maybe occasionally there may be an imp that has a special skin. Maybe WftO could have special random events that don't get in the way

Im thinking multiple skins for all creatures, so they don't all look alike. i'm sure it won't be difficult to implement in UDK.

and for creating multiple versions.....it's easy, just a little hue variation along with some distinctive prints/scars/etc.
