Uh, no. Nothing is confirmed about this yet at this point. And I personally doubt it's going to happen, except for maybe some minor tweaks.

In an other thread it was mentioned that heroes are going to have a different set of traps. Should it be included in the title (whether or not it belongs to creatures and heroes) or in the actual description?

Another question out of curiosity: will there be "neutral" traps (traps premade on a map crippling both opponents)
That's understandable, but to a certain degree, Dungeon Keeper is more of a hybrid of fantasy type genres. Example being, in DK1 it had a medieval type fantasy setting, with features like having machinery thrown into the mix. DK2 however, took a late medieval fantasy approach. It looked more like it took place in the 1600-1700s with all the time period type of wardrobe and arsenal. Such as having magic gun powder based cannons as sentry guns, hero guards looking and sounding like French Pikeman from the said time period. lol

However, I am gonna assume that there are not a whole lot of people that were fans of DK2. Which is why I will assume you want to keep it as close to DK1 as possible, right?

You may argue all you want, there have been flamewars on it in the past and historical proof of guns in medieval times were given, and so on. It still stands that any gunpowder-related weaponry suggestion may seem out of place in the DK universe, and they will be disliked by many (Sentry Cannon got a free pass because it's mana-driven. Don't bother using that as an excuse for anything else though). So don't expect anything of it to go anywhere.

Geez, you are more negative than I could possibly be... It was an observation followed by an assumed answer to a question...

Sentry Traps aren't going to be in WftO, actually. Saying something is mana-driven is a pretty lame excuse to increase the technology level if you ask me. Besides, they were pretty potentially broken if you abused them with certain trap combinations. Especially if you abused the Temple's ability to generate mana.

    Exactly my point.

At least Sentry Traps looked fantasy-like enough to not break up the atmosphere too much, though.
