    Default Keeper Spell Speeches

Just wondering, does anybody have a good knowledge with latin language? What are EXACTLY the latin words pronounced for all the Keeper spells? I guess it could be interesting to try to figure out the meanings for each.

The best solution would be to use a latin dictionnary. I know that there are some of them over the Internet, but some of them aren't that good or don't have words close to those we hear through the game.

Are you up for the task?

Here's the list of everything we have found so far (correct me if you disagree on something):

    Pretty sure
    Unsure

Possess - "Cranium Internum" - Inside the skull
Create Imp - "Impus Natum" - Birth of an Imp
Sight of evil - "Oculus Diabolus" - Eye of evil
    Speed - "Acceleratæ" - Hurry
Must Obey - "Slave" - Slave
Call-to-Arms - "Aggressum attractus" - Attracted to attack
Conceal - "Vapos" - Steam, smoke
Hold Audience - "Culinare" - Kitchen
Cave-In - "Petro Deus" - God of stone
    Heal - "Vitæ" - Life
Lightning strike - "Electro Deus" - God of electricity
    Protect - "Sanctus" - Blessed
    Chicken - "Tikka" - Tikka
Disease - "Mortuus" - To die
    Armageddon - "Apocolatæ" - Apocalypse?
Confirm Armageddon - "In nomine asthma mortuus viscerum luce" - "In name of the oppression, dead are those in the entrails of the light"
Destroy Walls - "Penitenziagite" - Show remorse, do penance - Rallying cry of Dolcinites from the novel/movie "The Name of the Rose"

    Edit:
    A message from Dene Carter:
The DK voice was me in the studio with Russell Shaw.
I can also tell you the reason I said 'Mortiis' for one of the spell-castings was because I was really into early dungeon synth.
It's a literal reference to Mortiis, former keyboardist for Emperor.

Only one I'm sure of is that Mortis, the speech for the disease spell, means something like "death".

There is also the possibility that some of the words are made up.
Mentor: "You remove your own heart, fortify it behind stonewalls, deadly traps, and then rely heavily on beings you create yourself. Even psychoanalysts lack words for just how absurdly emo you are…"

I think I got a pretty accurate description of the words being pronounced. Some chants' defination are more obvious than others and can be looked up in a dictionnary. The only one that is missing is the ''Hold Audiance'' spell.

    Posses
    "Create new internal"

    Create Imp
    "Impus Neetum"

    Sight
    "Octus Diablos"

    Speed
    "Accelerate"

    Must obey
    "Slavee"

    Call-to-Arms
    "Aggresum actractus"

    Invisibility
    "Vapous"

    Hold Audience
    Unknown

    Cave-in
    "Petrundeos"

    Heal
    "Vitae"

    Lightning
    "Electrundeos"

    Protect
    "Sanctus"

    Chicken
    "Tica"

    Disease
    "Mortiis"

    Armageddon
    "Inume hastum mortis viserum nussey"

    Destroy Walls
    "Pinitins yajetee"

About Armageddon, that's the speech when we ACCEPT to cast the spell. You forgot the speech when we CLICK on it : "Apocolatae"

EDIT: Wait, you have taken the speeches from here... Silly you...

I thought there was a spell, Create Imp I think?, that said something like "Suffertoria." Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh wait, that was from DK2, nevermind. Perhaps I'm so VERY wrong that I shouldn't play DK anymore.

Some of these are probably right, some more pretty farfetched or wrong. Does anyone have a quick link to the spell sounds?

Actually, no. I did use another site to confirm my thoughts about some of the chants being spoken, I had hoped this would be sufficient to move on, like I said, some chants are more obvious to their meaning than others, so I didn't include translations.

Sorry if it really bothered you.

Knowing Latin, some of these translations are really obviously very wrong.

I do want sound files, though, to provide more accurate translations. Having to guess from memory does not work well.

    ...

EDIT: here's what I've come up with so far

Here's some of my interpretations using (limited) Latin knowledge.

    Possess
    "Creo interno"
    -I create from the inside

    Create Imp
    "Impus Natum"
    -Birth of an Imp

    Sight
    "Oculus Diaboli"
    -Eye of the Devil

    Speed
    "Acceleratis"
    -You accelerate (plural)

    Must obey
    "sclavi"
    -Slaves

    Call-to-Arms
    "Aggressus attractus"
    -Drawn to the assault

    Invisibility
    "Vanus" (?)
    -Void

    Hold Audience
    Unknown
    -I need a sound file

    Cave-in
    Petram Deos
    -Stone gods

    Heal
    "Vita"
    -Life

    Lightning
    "Electricus deus"
    -Electric god

    Protect
    "Sanctus"
    -Inviolable

    Chicken
    Unknown
    -Not determined yet

    Disease
    "Mortis"
    -From death

    Armageddon
    Unknown
    -I need sound files

    Destroy Walls
    "Penetrat xxx "
    -Pierces xxx
