    Default Can't create traps, placed traps in map does not function

    Thanks for letting me play Dungeon Keeper on my new computer! Works like a charm, except for one thing, that I cant place, produce or abuse traps! The traps menu shows no icons, if I build a workshop and set people to work they work forever, and the traps already placed on a map doesnt function.
    Now, this has been a dream for me in the standard campaign! Especially when my Imps can just walk up and claim a tile with a boulder trap on.
    But! I played Dixaroc, the level where you start with a spider, and there is eventually a room where you are supposed to run across, setting off boulder traps, killing some 10 level 8 giants.
    So you know, my level 4 spider cant really handle them without those traps going off!
    I guess its something I need to copy from my DK CD, but in that case, which file?

    You don't need to copy anything.

    Please read the readme file. It will give you some basic knowledge, ie. about LOG file.

    I have this exact same problem. I attached the log file, but these in particular look suspicious:

    Make sure you have "trapdoor.cfg" in "fxdata" folder. It is there in 0.38a archive.

    Okay, I checked and trapdoor.cfg is definitely there, and it's not like it's blank or anything. Should I upload it?

    There was no "trapdoor.cfg" in v0.37. If you have it, then you've somehow tried to merge two versions.

    Please use the standard packages. They do work.

    Yea you (probably) tried to update 0.37 to 0.38a, so did i and got some problems. Try a clean "install" of 0.38a and just transfer any saves you have from the old version.

    Thanks guys, I downloaded the 0.38 standalone and it works fine, it seems like only the installer version has this problem.

    hi unclean

    I recommend you to use the 0.38a version because 0.38 have 2 important bugs: creatures doesn't go into his lair to heal up him when you take them in there and game can crash putting bridges in lava or water
