Thread: About the 'New Posts'

    Default About the 'New Posts'

Would it be possible to edit this so it only notifies you about new posts in threads that you have actually posted in? Rather than all threads that have been posted in, even ones that don't concern you at all.

    1. Go to your User CP.
    2. Edit "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to whatever you prefer.
    3. See future post you replied/subscriped to here.

As for your question, no. Personally i use it specifically because it shows all new posts.

That's not very convenient. Not very practical either as you're going to end up doing that anyway, just over a longer time-span.

The convenience of it only updating you on threads that you have posted(And therefore, interested in) is.

Let me put it this way I'm not gonna remove functionality to add functionality that already exists on the forum. I'm for the most part a reader not a poster, so my new posts would eventually show up empty, and i would be forced to open all forums and then open new threads. Not my idea of convinience.

Use the functionality that is already in place that does exactly what you ask for.

It'd be nice if there was an alternative option to have it the other way around though...

The only difference is that you have to click User CP instead of New post thats all.

Are you telling me that clicking "User CP" instead of "New Post", with no additional clicking needing to be done. Is so hard and so impossible for you that you want me (and others) to click on around 20 different forums nevermind the clicking for changing the tabs in my browser.

How you you are unable see that your idea is ludicrous, is mind boggling to say the least. I attached a illustration of what i mean just in case, and if you still don't get it. The simple answer is it will never happen.
