I think it'd be a useful trap. Similar to the lava trap, except this is something which grabs and holds one creature and holds it in place, moulding its mud around it, then it'd be a form of barricade and use that creatures health to remain there until destroyed.

So if a max'd-level bile demon comes strolling by and gets caught, that barricade is going to last quite a while.

It ignores certain creatures with health under X amount OR anything with health lower than x amount will change it to be at the same health level.

So if under 250 health (say an Imps health is 75 or a fly's health is 145) then the trap will gain health of 200.
If the creatures health is about 250, then the traps' health will be at that creatures health.

Or... it can just ignore the creatures under X amount of health.

or a giant one could come out of the earth somewhere, could be a cool boss.....

but i dunno anymore...don't think he fits in the game really - Should I repaint him as a lava monster?

Lets call him "Lava Spawn". A neutral hostile spirit of the depths, wandering the lava streams and threatening anyone coming close.

    Idea:

Lets say that the "lava Monster" is a nuetral hostil. he lives in certain lava tiles, and can be determined by bubble on the surface, or diffrent movement than tile around it. When you biuld a bridge over it, it jumps out and attack non fire resisdent creatures. When there is no bridge over it, it joins the closest team and tries to move oward that keeper(s) /Good's enemies, if it can.

It won't jump out of the lava, or attack heat resisters like the salamander or the giant. Only attack if a bridge is over it.

What do you think. Be Brutal.
