Default Draraks empire campaign/ TFR Campaign

Hey guys, I'm new here. Awesome page, great that there are some DK fans out there yet.
I finally finished most of my DK2 campaign and I want share it with you. Yet it has 14 maps, but I want to add at leat three maps. I have some more maps as well, but they didn't work, so i took them out of the campaign. Maybe I redo them and upload them too...

Note: This is only for 1.7!!! I want to convert them to 1.3 soon, but I never did that before so it can take a few days. I must test the maps then, because some maps will be impossible to beat, for example mission 4.

    So heres the campaign:

Welcome Keeper to Draraks Empire. You’ll not be the only one who wants to destroy his huge realm. Other keepers want to see him dead as much like you. But till now, all the other keepers failed. Some were killed by Drarak’s loyalists, some hided, other escaped or turn onto his side. The only one who was a problem for Drarak was keeper Flagta, but it seems he left his empire for other things. You’ve got to know that Draraks controls everything beside the invaders. Very early in his campaign he bowed down the heroes. With heir help he bowed down lots of keepers. The other keepers were a big help to sweep lots of realms. He expanded his empire very fast and after some time he had nearly every realm of the flooded catacombs under his control. A place where the keepers slaughtered themselves, but that was before he built his empire. Now his loyalists kill everything. Attackers have two choices, first they swear they follow Drarak or they’ll die. But most the time his troops choose the first choice. Keep his realms clean. Even there are lots of normal dungeons and lava seas; it would be the best choice to attack over the water areas. They’re well defended but maybe he doesn’t thinks someone would attack from that point. Or at least no one who would be a problem for him. You’ll kill lots of keepers and heroes, some on Draraks side, others not. Maybe there some allies out there, but stay in order to keep sight of the goal. Draraks Empire has to fall!

    1. First Conquest

    Story:
Get ready for the beginning. To invade his empire, you have to break through the outer blockades first. Big fortresses block the rivers, reinforcement for the stationary troops waits in a hidden valley. Three lords have the control over the troops, even over some Guards who are under Draraks direct authority. If they fall, you’ll be able to break through these blockades without a problem. It’s possible that some creatures from earlier attackers might still be here… Find them, even if there are only bones left, and use them for your first strike!

    Info:
Okay, here we go. Not so difficult. Build your army and destroy the two hero castles. The only things you should do are train your creatures and destroy the hero gate. I don't like this map as much as the level I wanted for the first, but maybe you like it.

    2. Takeover:

    Story:
You’re at the edge of Drarak’s Empire, but see, you’re not the only one who made it this far. Keeper Trakoth was able too, to break through the outer blockades, and now he moves forward with a huge army of very strong trolls. But it seems that he’ll not make it far, one of Draraks loyalists, Keeper Arcon is send to stop and kill him. He’s got a big army of Black Knights and normal knights; hero reinforcement. Takeover uncovered rooms of the other keepers, train your limited forces and then eliminate them both! After that, penetrate deeper in his empire.

    Info:
Well, first you have to find a place to train. Mine the gold out and search attackable rooms of Keeper Trakoth. Build your army until the gold reserves are used up and then kill Trakoth. But be careful, his troops are way stronger than yours. After you take him down you have two portals. You should be able to kill Arcon without them, but for this you may not lose any of your Black Knights.

    3. Underhand methods

NOTE: You have to run this map over the commando line. The shortcut is in the folder.
    Story:
Finally you’re in Drarak’s Empire, not deep, but far away from his outposts. But remember your objective: You want to see Drarak dead. But for that you have to know where he hides himself first. It’s possible that some of his hero friends know where you can find him, some with high ranks. You haven’t much soldiers, use them good for this mission. Try to attack the big hero fortress in this realm. You have to imprison their commander, a prince who rules this area. But be carful, two other keepers with huge, strong trained armies are here too. They’ll attack the fortress and kill everyone in their way, heroes or creatures, it don’t matter. You have to capture the prince before they’re going to berserk and doing carnage. But maybe, if you’re watch them you can use them. Let them decimate the hero patrols, so your assault will be easier.

    Info:
You only have three Creatures, it would be better if you don’t lose only one of them. With a prison you can get skeletons, but first you have to find one of the two prisons in the hero fortress. Protect your dungeon hearth with traps and than attack fast. It’s possible that the other keepers act like fools. For example, if blue casts call to arms in one of his rooms he’ll never remove it. The same if his creatures don’t destroy barricades. But mostly he’ll attack the middle of the weaker part of the hero fortress and kill most of the guards. Then he’ll destroy an outpost of them. After that he destroys mostly the hero gates and move to the stronger part of the fortress to attack the green keeper. The green keeper will attack really fast and he’ll be your strongest enemy if you’re not fast. If he acts well he’ll kill an outpost and then attacking the strong fortress. If he’s really well he’ll destroy it and kill the prince. Otherwise he casts call to arms at his prison and then he’ll never do anything. But this happens rarely. It’s possible too, that he attacks the strong hero castle from the side and rushes to his own dungeon. That’s kind of the same as when he attacks from the front, the only different is that he will lose more creatures and his imps will be able to take over the castle later.

    4. Observation-a

    Story:
That was a damn waste of time! This nasty prince hadn’t known anything at all! Well, forget about it and follow your first plan. Rush through his empire and destroy everyone! It’s impossible that you’ll never find him; you’ll search in every fucking place in his empire! Here you have to face even four keepers who rampage through his realms. Beside them lies an unaware hero castle. They have the order to keep away every enemy keeper. Kill or ignore the wretched hero fortress, they are nothing particular. It would be better when your focus lies on the other keepers. Keeper Mithras and Keeper Ezago start to build their armies to destroy the heroes, but they don’t know that Keeper Destophya already head out to kill them… Her strong troops will give a short shrift of them. After that, she’ll target you, be ready for the attack… Maybe you can find something useful in the hero fortress, but act quick.

    Info:
Very hard map, therefore at least in version 1.3. You have a few knights at the beginning, all on level two. Build your dungeon fast and don’t open it to the river! If you want the heroes and specials on the river, make sure you open your dungeon far away from your heart! Cause then Keeper Yellow will attack you, not the other keepers.

    4. Observation-b

    Story:
That was a damn waste of time! This pathetic prince hadn’t known anything at all! You should kill their commander, so you can move on. Better you look for allies for the attack. Keeper Destophya, one of your rivals here has a well trained army and attacks the other keepers already. Maybe you can ally with her if you impress her. What would be if you kill the other two keepers right before her eyes and her army? Kill Keeper Mithras and Keeper Ezago before she does. If Destophya accept a leagues, attack with your combined troops and destroy the wretched hero fortress! If not, do it on your own.

    Info:
Very, very hard. Don’t know if it’s even possible in 1.3. Everything is the same like before, but your knights are stronger. Build your dungeon as fast as possible and then attack the other keepers! Destophya needs only 15min for the first Keeper and her minions are on level 8-10. Ignore the heroes completely, if you try to convert them, Destophya will win. Try this map only if you played Version a first. If you don’t know the area, you’ll lose. Many times...

    5. Massive attack-a:

    Story:
Well done Keeper. But are you ready for the next mission? It seems Drarak or at least his allies have realized that you’re rampage through his empire, so one of Drarak’s strongest loyalists was send to punish you, Keeper Alatrea. She had built a huge castle and pretends for her invasion on you. Heroes and Keeper Craslahr support her. Don’t worry about Craslahr; he was stupid enough to build his dungeon near yours. Your troops will give a short drift on him. Kill all heroes who attack you and then build an army that is strong enough to take out Alatreas castle. Maybe you’ll need help for the attack. There are two other keepers who are fighting on the other side of this realm. If you help one of them, he’ll maybe ally with you. If not, you can just take their resources. But if you want them as allies act fast. Keeper Alatrea will not accept their presence any longer. She’ll go to kill them with a few of her soldiers.

    Info:
Five Keepers, three enemies. Craslahr will die in the beginning, Zahron and Larinah fight far away from you. You can finish the level on three different ways, have fun!

    5. Massive Attack-b

    Story:
Well done Keeper. But are you ready for the next mission? She had built a huge castle and pretends for her invasion on you. Heroes and Keeper Craslahr support her. Kill all heroes who attack you and then build an army that is strong enough to take out Alatreas castle. Maybe you’ll need help for the attack. But if you want them as allies act fast. Keeper Alatrea will not accept their presence any longer. She’ll go to kill them with a few of her soldiers. But first you have to kill Craslahr… He controls all the portals in the area around your dungeon. Find some useful warriors and kill him, takeover his dungeon and use it for the invasion.

    Info:
Sometimes the AI of Keeper 2 don't works and he don't search gold. But usually he'll train his creatures to level 8 quick and then he'll attack you. Not so interessting in 1.7 but in 1.3 he's really annoying. He'll attack you all the time and you'll have a problem to defeat him if you're not fast. (1.3 version is comming soon. Maybe today...)

    6. Infiltration:

    Story:
Damn, it seems that will be harder… Three enemy keepers fight in this realm, but no one is on Draraks side. They built big fortresses and send their troops out to destroy any other keeper. You’ll be very unlikely able to win this war without at least one portal. Besides, a hero fortress has compartmentalised from the other keepers so they can concentrate only on you. You have to overtake the hero fortress and capture all enemies you can get, and then look how you can defeat the keepers. Surely they have to get their recourses from somewhere. Cut them from their supplies. Then they’ll fail against the other keepers, or your hopefully well trained army.

    Info:
The beginning isn’t really hard if you make no mistakes. After the lord of the land is dead you’ll get a new spell, it’ll kill a lot of creatures in a big area. It’s for the attack on Keeper 3 and only needed in 1.3. Here you only need one creature for the takeover of his mine.

    7. Across the river:

    Story:
Draraks keeper loyalists and the invaders don’t seem to be a problem for you, Keeper. But this may stop you. A well built and well protected hero castle blocks this river and three lords wait with their huge army to destroy every keeper. To overcome this castle you have to destroy the protected outposts and kill the first lord before he can flee and report his troops. Train your minions well and convert heroes. If you believe that you’re ready, attack the castle, destroy the other lords, their soldiers and the hero gates. But be careful, after the second lord has fallen the last one will hide himself behind his last elite soldiers.

    Info:
One thing: You’ll lose a lot of creatures. And be sure, that you’re army is big enough for the last fight…

    8. Keeper Adahr's campaign-a:

    Story:
Your normal soldiers will not be at disposal here. But this is maybe the most important mission in your entire previous campaign. Keeper Adahr knows where Drarak hides, his showiness that he’ll kill him and any other keeper who crosses his path. Very fast it went about, every hero in the castle you take out before spoke about that. Bad luck for him. Now ldozens of heroes siege his fortress. But you have to kill him! He knows where you can find Drarak and when he dies the information will be gone forever! But for the information you’ll need troops to destroy him… Search the graveyards and free the locked up vampires. With them, you should be able to attack the heroes from their back. Kill them and move on, destroy the beating heart of keeper Adahr!

    Info:
Not much to say, but I hope the bridges are not to small for the vampires^^

    8. Keeper Adahr's campaign-b

    Story:
Keeper Adahr knows where Drarak hides, his showiness that he’ll kill him and any other keeper who crosses his path. Very fast it went about, every hero in the castle you take out before spoke about that. But now you know that too. This will be his downfall… Find and destroy him, take your information’s! But wait, you’re in his old castle… Heroes are here, it seems they search him… Where is he gone? Maybe he knew about you or about the heroes… Takeover the rest of his old fortress, kill the heroes and then find him! You need the information’s, not the dungeon of this unworthy fool!

    Info:
Completely different to version a. Don't act too fast, you have to take over the right rooms and train your minions. And only if you did that you'll be able to kill the other heroes.

    9. New allies:

    Story
Finally… You know Drarak’s location. His empire is just about the fall. But see, it seems he knows that you’re coming. He had sent two of his loyalists to destroy you, Keeper Vreth among them. He was one of his best soldiers very early on the expansion of his empire. One not so famous keeper is supporting him. But they’re not only fighting you. There are two allied keeper who rampage through his empire, and some heroes who betrayed Drarak. The heroes won’t be a problem, they’ll fall very easily. But the other keepers could annoy you. Maybe you can ally with them if you tell them Draraks location. It may be dangerous, but with allies the whole thing will be easier

    Info:
If your allies die, you’ll lose. But don’t worry if you’re playing with 1.7, the army of the other Keepers will never reach their dungeon hearts…

    10. Three Keepers

    Story:
No one can stop you now! Admittedly Drarak sends another keeper to destroy you, Tresorin is his name, but with the strength of three powerful invaders against him he’ll fall easily. Unfortunately he knows that he can’t defeat us, so he sends the hero troops who Drarak gave him as reinforcement. They’ll come in big, strong waves and your dungeons are opened to all sides of this lake. Be careful they may come from every side! Actually your dungeons are built to siege Tresorin, but if you act well they should be able to holdout a siege too. Get ready, the heroes are already coming! Support your allies and when your reinforcement with the bridge material arrives, destroy Tresorin!

    Info:
Very hard holdout map: You can be attacked from each side, the heroes are in the beginning on a high level and you have to protect your allies too.

    11. Let’s start a Riot

    Story:
Now… There hides Drarak, Cowardly in his castle. He is supported by two of his loyalists. The castle was owned by the heroes a long time ago, now it’s his domicile. Start a riot in his entire empire and let every keeper here, loyalists of him or invaders, tremble by your act! Everyone will know that YOU have deprived him of his power! The attack will need good troops. The two loyalists of him cover his flanks. A few strong heroes patrol the area, their commander, a prince, will report every danger he realise. Get ready for the final strike and then attack, your forces combined with Claydia’s troops. The problem is, his castle is well defended. You have lots of capabilities. The easiest way would be to take down his loyalists and kill him with their resources. But you may take the battle to the heart of his castle, to his dungeon hearth. Maybe you can use the heroes to your cause too.

    Info:
You’re at the final point in the campaign! You have six different ways to finish the level, every way is different in gameplay. Have fun to find them, one tip: the prince can be very importment.

    12. Back over the River

    Story
You have killed him! His empire is destroyed! The other invaders will destroy every loyalist of him, only a few will survive. But then they’ll go after you. You have to escape and met up with Claydia to face them in a faraway realm. To distract them you have to escape over different routes, in each case over the realms you have conquered already. You have to escape over the river, kill the heroes who have survived your attack and then kill everyone else who is in your way!

    Info:
A bit modified version of Across the River. But now you’re in the hero fortress and a other Keeper is there where you was. Kill or convert the remaining heroes and take the enemy Keeper down!

    13. Draraks Army:

    Story:
Claydia is near, but first you have to face the rest of Drarak’s personal army. They wait here for his orders, and they don’t know what happened. They’re aimless and broken; they've waited here since more than a year. If you really want to destroy everything from Drarak you have to kill these fools! Find help, soldiers who want to see them dead. But be careful, another keeper is present here. He isn’t one of Drarak’s loyalists, but he has allied with his army to use them for his own purposes. For that he’ll be destroyed by your hand!

    Info:
Have fun! Find Draraks creatures and kill them, they’re scattered in the entire area.

    14. Keeper Claydia

    Story:
You have arrived, Claydia should be here. But it seems two of our pursuers were fast. They arrived before Claydia and now she’s under a siege. Beware, these keepers belonged to Draraks attack force since his campaign began. They're kind of ancient. The soldiers of both keepers march into your allies defence. Destroy them fast, if Claydia dies you’ll lose against the other loyalists who’ll come after you… They’re already near and build their armies. Don’t give them more time to develop their dungeons!

    Info:
Worked a long time on this map. I hope everything works good. Here you have to train your minions as far as you can and then attack the stronger keeper next to you. But it would be better if you're fast...

    15. A Day to Remember

    Story:
Now it starts… The first wave arrived. Hundred of heroes with two commanders, three other ancient keepers. You have to know that they belonged to Draraks strongest elite. They’re aggressive and want to see you dead. Use your best soldiers of earlier battles and defeat them! This will be a day to remember for all existing keepers

    Info:
Be careful, it's better if you'd not lose any of your creatures. You'll never get new ones. Destroy the hero gates fast and then take your rivals down.

    16. The Downfall of us all

    Story:
The final fight… Get ready Keeper. Claydia will face the last heroes who belong to Drarak, but you will face the last keepers who belong to Drarak. Unfortunately they’re supported by heroes too. The heroes ware already in your small, weakened dungeon and kill your small army. The four other keepers, Draraks last loyalists, have you on their target. They’ll not waste their time; their armies will attack you all the time until your dead hearth collapses. The strongest allies from Drarak have come together here. Keeper Assossiana who will attack from the front and rampage through your weakened dungeon, Keeper Chadory get ready to send his huge army of undead after you, he’ll attack from your side and destroy all your defences. Keeper Assadarya support them with their own strong army, her dungeon heart is well defended by heroes. Keeper Rhaokas is about to build an army too, he feels save under the protection of the heroes. The end is near; the downfall of them all is for sure. Al least you know that everything will be normal again, see, Keeper Assadarya has destroyed the hero gate near her dungeon and locked up the area. Well done keeper, now finish it.

    Info:
This level is very, very hard. You have a few creatures in the beginning, but your dungeon is destroyed by a few guards who still are there. At the same time the yellow and the purple keeper will send their high levelled armies to you. You have to kill dozen of yellows army, and then she’ll only get low levelled ones from her portal. Then you should attack. But be careful if you use bridges, they’re really expensive. (You can’t claim her dungeon anyways; it is connected with blues and purples.) Her dungeon is patrolled by lots of heroes, ignore them, they’ll be replaced very fast. Destroy her hearth, so one keeper less attacks you. If you’re to slow, green will attack with his huge undead army. After you have killed the yellow keeper try to find some monks and prepare for greens attack (purple will attack all the time, but before you go after her you should kill yellow and green). Without the monks you’ll never be able to defeat his vampires. (If an AI has lots of high levelled creatures, then new creatures will come at the same level out of the portal. But the same happens with vampires, and trust me, it’s not possible to kill them without monks. I failed three times before I destroyed yellow fast enough and got some monks.) With the monks, kill his vampires and move slowly forward. Be sure your dungeon is well defended, purple will keep attacking. After you have destroyed the green keeper you can relax. Purple will not be a problem, but blue will if you wait too long. But first train your creatures a bit. Then you can choose who you want to attack. Both are well defended. If you want to attack blue you have to cross one of the hero fortresses. Their strengths have both. If you want to kill purple your only way to attack is through yellows dungeon. Lead your army through the two dungeons and be sure your army is strong enough for the final strike. Her hearth is well defended and if your creatures fail, she can simply destroy your hearth without any opposition…

Have fun with the campaign! If you see any bugs or a map is to easy/hard tell it me please! I tested the maps lots of times but there can still be issues 've not noticed.Draraks Empire Campaign v. 0.9.7z
Updatet the campaign, but it is still not the final version. Draraks Empire Campaign v.0.91.zip

So, here are the first levels from my second campaign. These levels are supossed to be very hard, like DD, but this time for the the second game. I'll post the story and map informations later, the files and the thumbnail should be enough. For the beginning there will be difficult maps, but not that hard since that's just the beginning

    The forgotten Realms campaign (TFR)

The first thing I have to mention is that you have to run these levels over the commandoline. Shortcuts are already included. I chanched a few things in the gameplay, if you want to know which things exactly, look in the readme.

    1. Timeless cathedral

Find allies, then attack the hero fortress, or search for a library and spellbokes. You have to destroy all the outer hero gates, then you have to kill the LotL to finish this level.

    2. Invaders

Don't try to claim the portal, you have to find creatures in the hero fortresses. But don't chose the wrong fortresses, there are many heroes who will attack you, after you've exposed your dungeon to them. The river is full of enemies who want you dead, but you can use this for your advantages.

    3. Dear agony...

Blue is the weakest keeper, green is slightly harder and yellow is very hard. After you killed them you can attack the LotL (Or earlier if you wish), but be carefull, if you attack the wrong Royal Guards, you have to face a few of them, who will trying to get to your dungeon heart.

    4. Duell

Be carefull with your money. After about 20min blue will attack, if you got luck he'll trying to claim your portal instead of attacking you direct. Edit: Forget a script, the level won't end if you've killed your foe. Consider the level as finished when blue is dead. I'll try to get an updated version up, sooner or later..

    5. Hysteria

The keepers are allied, so don't try to foment them against each other Oh, and you have to RESTART the level after you loaded it. Otherwise the keeper AI won't work right!!! All in all this map is very hard, especially puple can be your downfall. It can be a tortur to kill even one black knight or vampire with the forces you can obtain, so try a hit n' run tactic.

Thanks! I'll upload the full campaign there when it's finished. Maybe I'll working on a second campaign based on the story of this. I still try to get some maps working they should be in the campaign. For example a second version of Level 8, where you'll be in the stronghold, taken over by the heroes. If you find some bugs I'll fix them too. The finall campaign I will upload in the download section then

Hm, weird. I don't know why you can't download the files. Anyway, I'll upload a new version now. There'll be some fixes, two new maps (05. Massive attack-b and 13. Keeper Claydia) and the actual version of the first mission. (uploaded a older version^^).

Ok, first you need Version 1.7. I'm still working on the 1.3 version, but it's really annoying that I've to use my second PC for that. And that PC doesn't work very well. If you have 1.7 you have to unzip the file. Then you copy all files into Bullfrog/DKII/Data/editor/maps. After that you open the Thumbnails folder and copy the thumbnails into the Thumbnail folder that is already in the maps folder. Now you'll be able to play the maps on Skirmish

    Default Re: Draraks empire campaign

Nice to hear I'm working on the final two maps of the campaign, they'll be the hardest maps of the entire campaign. Maybe you'll be able too chose your keeper. Maybe you'll be able to play as Keeper Claydia Some of the released levels will get other numbers, because I want to add some more maps too. Some things still don't work yet. For example: The game crashes if Your heart is in a hero base, but if I place the heart somewhere else on the map it works. I hope I can make this work. A few fixes and tweakings will comming too. I try to make some of the maps harder, for example Back over the river where you can convert lots of heroes and still can get two portals. And at least I've converted half of the maps in 1.3 If my other PC works today I can convert the rest.

    edit:

Alright, level 15 is nearly done. And I finally get Assassin-b working. Here are the first screens, I'll upload the new version this evening or tomorrow. A few bugs are fixed, (the main problem in Takeover that you can't build bridges, a few maps are harder...) And I think I'll chose a new name for the map assassin. The name was for the old concept, now it doesn't fit inanymore.

Here I've got to redo the entire hero fortresses, the map is only half finished. You can see the unfinished hero bases on the water. I think I'll finish this map this afternoon.

    edit2:
Ok, finished the next two maps. All maps are now the right version. (First conquest version was only the test map. It's really annoying if you have 4 versions of the same map^^) Now I'll working on the last level (16), a new map that will replace outpost and another map which will be add new story informations for the second campaign. After that Draraks empire will be finished
