Default running dk1 with wine in gentoo

    Hi out there ...

i have trouble playing dk1. I could install it and emulate windows vista to run keeperfx with it. It works -> but it's very slow . so how do i increase a better performance to the game??? same shxx with windows 95 emulation ...
Perhaps somebody with linux experience can help me fix this problem?
i am updating my wine version now ...

    thank you

doesn't work in wine so virtualbox should be the only solution but I don't know why it goes slow in win 95.

    - Make sure you're not running heavylog version.
    - Try using frameskip (ctrl-+).
    - Try command line switches:
    1st try: keeperfx.exe -fps 40
    2nd try: keeperfx.exe -vidriver windib
    3rd try: keeperfx.exe -nosound

I have keeperFX running quite smoothly in Ubuntu with wine 1.2.3 and 1.3.25, but apart from the intro video, I got no sounds. Any suggestions?

I chose emulation in the sound options in winecfg, and now sounds sound fine

I also used -fps 40, and alternativ es resolution works great.

Only thing that doesn't seem to work are the sliders in the main menu options, though that is mostly irrelevant since they work ingame.

i tried all 3 steps but nothing really helps. my wine version now is "wine-1.3.24". i also tried run it from wineconsole -> so my next turn is to run dk1 from dosbox. i guess keeperfx doesn't run with dosbox ...
