Default How to slow down the game speed in WinXP SP2 ?

The problem: DK1 game speed is really fast (on amd phenom x4 3000).

What I want: If you tried keeper FX - you will understand, what is "keeperfx.exe -fps 10". I want to slow down the game speed for example "2 times slower (slower x2)". I want this in windows xp sp2.

Why I cannot use keeperfx: http://keeperklan.com/threads/2170-D...5070#post35070

I tried speeder xp http://www.speederxp.com/ - but it slow the game only for 20 seconds, and then original game speed restored.

What software you can recommend for this? Is it possible without third party software? Should I set CPU affinity to "use only single core for deeper95.exe"?

    Thank you in advance

And by the way, both KeeperFX and original game have a speed limit of 20 game turns per second. So, it shouldn't supposed to be too fast.

For me 20 is too fast. I prefer 10.

(I will post the keeperfx.log later)

The best way to slow down old game is to use emulator - ie. DOSBox.

In DOSBox, you have very precise control of cycles in the virtual CPU. Note that the control is little less precise if you use "dynamic core" setting.

Did not know about "dynamic core" btw. And default setting is "auto", which is (as I understand) same as dynamic if you have multicore cpu.

Thanks for advice (also I will "test" how 2xsai/hq3x work on DK).
