    Default Dwarven taskmaster

    Name (What is your Creature?)

    Stats:

    Health:Average
    Attack: (AKA Strength Above-average/high
    Armour: High
    Accuracy: (AKA Dexterity bellow-average
    Agility: (AKA Defense Low
    Speed: average
    Luck: average
    Recovery Rate: Very high
    Intelligence: n/a
    Construction: Very high
    Training Rate: average
    Training Cost: average
    Wage: average
    Gender: man

    Skills:

    1. Melee
    Dig
    6. Rally (Increase defense on other)
    7. Haste other
    10. Defense

Information: A stronger dwarf that diggs faster than normal dwarves and can construct temporary bridges over lava. Also stronger and more durable than other dwarves.

    Behavior in Dungeon: Digger

    Battle Style: Scrapper, buffer

Jobs: imp-behavior by default, can be used as worker in workshop

    Obtainable By: Hero

    Hates: Elves, dragons

    Loves: other dwarves, powerful heroes

Anger reaction: Destroys reinforced walls, doors

    Lair: Normal bed (none?)

Appearance: A slightly taller dwarf with an enormous armor and full helmet.

How Introduced: I was thinking if you have a map where you are protected from a bunch of heroes by a big pool of lava then after a while a Taskmaster might appear and start building a bridge over the lava and the mentor can comment something like "Seems like the humans do no longer embrace the idea of a long distance relationship."

    Attracted by: n/a

Torture: Grills on a stick until the armor is glowing red.

I just thought that it would be interesting to have a unit that can not just cross the lava but also bring others with it (also if you want to play heroes it could be a good solution). It should be a unit that it introduced late in the game to mix things up a bit. The skills i gave it seemed appropriate to a taskmaster.

    Criticize away!

Dwarves aren't going to be the Hero Miners like they were in DK2, Tunnellers will fill that role like they did in DK1. Dwarves are going to be a type of Blocker Tanks as they were in DK1.

This suggestion is basically an elite Tunneller. My response is "No" because it is pretty much the same thing as having an elite Imp. Tunnellers are already "elite" miners compared to Imps. They're a bit slower but they're stronger so you don't need to micro-manage them as much like how you need to do for Imps. They are also very good at mining compared to Imps.

What is was aiming for was basically a unit that made it possible for heroes to traverse lava later in the game, to give them more options when attacking.

They can build bridges just fine. It also is easy for Level Designers to create Bridges for them to cross right at the start of the map.
