    Default Tips

    Game tips. Appear on the bottom of the screen while the level loads. Contain useful information regarding gameplay/mechanics/whatever. May be funny. May be disabled in Options

    I think it is a great feature that may be useful for many new players. + it at least keeps you reading something while the game loads

    Examples:

    Claiming is important. The more land you have claimed, the faster your mana regenerates.
    Building a treasury allows you to store more gold.
    Slapping an imp will make them work faster temporarily.

    Nice idea; haven't thought about that at all. Nice foresight.

    I got some:
    "your creatures should gain advantage over the enemy; build some traps in your dungeon"
    "watch your gold; be always prepared for the next payday"
    "scout the map; you don't want any surprises later"

    I like it... I like it ALOT!

    • You could have joke tips as well (A nice tribute to the Mentor).
    • Special tips that pop-up on certain days.
    • You could also put them at the bottom of any post-game screens if there are any.
    • Special tips which are like random statistics and are updated. "You have killed _____ creatures to date. Feel good about yourself?"


    You could do a lot with this, but the trick is to have enough that they are always fresh, not boring, and always have something new/of ongoing interest/funny.

    An efficient dungeon is a happy dungeon.

    There is no place like... a dungeon of hellish minions!

    In the face of the unexpected... spam offensive magicks!

    In the face of the unexpected... respond in kind.

    In the face of Adversity... spit in his eye!

    Your tactics lack a certain something... subtlety perhaps.

    Creatures are expendable, your Dungeon Heart is not.

    Blood is the grease on the cogs of Victory, make sure your creatures are donating.

    Trap Rooms are effective at slowing or stopping your enemy, but they are expensive and can often be rendered useless by a simple flank.

    Never let your enemy see you laugh at his mistakes.

    I have warned you again and again, but do you ever listen?

    Training your creatures vastly improves their effectiveness.

    How many times have you read this now?

    Got some more-
    Is victory worth your gold? train your creatures!
    Care for your creatures- they DO get angry you know
    Reached creature limit? a prison would come in handy
    You have an altar and your subjects are worth pitying, but your prisoners are not
    Don't throw a chicken into the altar... EVER! (if the same punishment is kept)
    Lord of the Land? Burn it. Burn it with fire.
    Keep natural enemies apart; we don't want a ruckus.
