I mean, will the music work without copying files with the next (non nightly build) version of DKFX?

I don't understand, is it that hard to code/include the music in the game?
When you "install" the game from the "cd" as is required already, you can also "copy" the music with it, so I don't see why that should be a problem?
Well,... sure the installer could copy the music from the GOG release, but most people have the original or gold release and there the music is not included. At the very least the readme should be expanded to let people know they can play the game with music if a. they have the disk in the drive, or b. populate the /music folder with keeper##.ogg files. Depending on copyright issues this can be expanded by including a download-link to the files, or include the music files directly in the installation package.
If I remember correctly, Syndicate Wars Port has a tool which can rip music for it even from CD tracks, so both GOG and Retail are possible to get the music form.
Still, I don't think I'll be doing any such change to the launcher, and currently noone else develops it.
Would you host the music files on keeper.lubiki.pl, and would you accept an updated text for the readme?
If you're wondering how to extract the music files from the Original Dungeon keeper Cd then you can use Windows Media Player.
If you have Windows Media Player installed on your computer and place the original Dungeon keeper Cd into A CD DvD RW D: Drive then Windows media Player can play the music tracks. Furthermore, if you open them up in the program, You can rip the tracks straight from the Cd to extract them.
Say can the game different format of music such as mp3.
