I'm pretty sure it was already answered a few times.

Just insert your original DK CD to your firs CD-ROM drive and the music will play.

Only CD-ROM music is currently supported, no MP3.

If you don't have an original DK1 CD, I suggest you shouldn't even bother attempting to get DK CD files or other original files.

Rather, just try finding the music files for it somewhere (if anything, try a YouTube-to-MP3 program and get them off YouTube) and play them in an audio player such as Windows Media Player, Winamp, or whatever you have, before starting up KFX. Then you'll have the music play in the background while playing the game.

It is possible to get it to play from a mounted disk file, but that is probably way more hassling with your PC than you're expertised in.

I play KeeperFX with a DK image file (.nrg) mounted with Daemon Tools and it works well. As I said, the drive must be D letter.

    I understand that, but I don't think Keeper_Infernal would.

    The thing I did:
    - I downloaded the OST of the game right there.
    - I created an audio image disc, leaving the first track with a silent track (since it's supposed to be the data track).
    - I mounted the image disc into Daemon Tools lite being sure its drive is the first (doesn't matter the letter, it just has to be the first).
And hey, presto: music in the game!
I like dragons! They're the center of my life! I'll never forget them...

Hello, guys. I'm so used to see any info about DK1 outdated that I'm kind of excited to see this project to be alive.

I have downloaded the 0.40 version and got this problem with music:

I have two HD partitions: C and D
    I have virtual drive G
And I have physical drive H

Now, when I "insert" the virtual CD into G and start the game using launcher.exe, I get the music alright.
But if I try to start it using KeeperFXTools.jar (or just a shortcut to keeperFX.exe) with all the handy command line options, the music is gone.

I'm trying to customize a campaign using FX and It would be very cool to have the ability to run the game with both com. line args. and music (because its brilliant).

    Thanks. Ace.

Moth,I like your idea its simple and will avoid me from damaging my KFX,can you give me the MP3 files?
