    Default Job Style

Ack, I signed out before I could put this on, oh well... here we go.

    ---

I think we can all favor both job styles of DK1 and DK2. DK2 being a bit more random, while DK1 being done with that, now onto this. But what about WftO? Here's my suggestion. I will use a troll for an example in a bit.

    Keeper Job
    Primary Job
    Randoms
    Secondary Job

Keeper Job is the only thing that overrules Primary Job. It is the job assigned by the keeper.

Primary Job being the most priority to the creature that he will always do first.

Randoms are a random set of jobs that the creature will do after his Primary is done. These are done in a random order depending on the percentage chances of each.

Secondary Job will always be done last.

Lets use the troll for an example. Note that this is only an example.

    Troll
    Keeper Job: None
    Primary Job: Workshop
    Randoms-
    45% Train
    55% Drink
    Secondary Job: Sleep

So now, the Troll will manufacture everything in the Workshop first. Once that is done, he will Train and Drink in the casino, though he prefers to Drink a little more than Train. After he has trained, and there are no more drinks/no casino, the Troll will just go to sleep.

    What do you all think?

good but i think train will not be something trolls will like to do,they are not warrior tipe.(i know yours was just an example)
instead of that, maeby we could use a new activity like visit workshop.troll like workshop so they will visit it and look around it from time to time ,i know it no a useless activity and will not do anything but the idea is to give it more life to every creature and so make them do thing that they will do,give them mroe personality

other good example will be bile demon, when he has nothing to do ,theres a 50% of porbability that he will go and start eating chicken, more than he needs,of course he get fun by eating chickens

You missed the whole point. This was clearly an example, you admitted that, but why did you go on?

This is to see how the jobs a creature does will be organized. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well in my eyes the system should be

    Code:
                +--------+
    ►►►►►►►►►►►►|Workshop|
    ▲ +--------+
    ▲ ▼
    ▲ ▼ Job Finished
    ▲ ▼
    ▲ +-------------+
    ▲ |Tavern/Casino|◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄
    ▲ +-------------+ ▲
    ▲ ▼ ▲
    ▲ ▼ ▲
    ▲ ▼ ▲
▲ Work to do +-----+ No work +-----+
    ▲◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄|Sleep|►►►►►►►►►►|Train|
                  +-----+ +-----+

This might be good... and excesive at the same time...

    Good Becuase...
Keeper can assing creatures that do nothing or normally dont make that activity... for example Skeletons in to guard duty in the guardroom... or Warlocks researching (not that they dont like researching, but something they pray or train instead of researching in DK2)

However the creature is obligated to to the keeper job but still will bet unhappy if he does not like it (obviously)...

    Excesive Because...
Isn't just enough with picking them up and putting them into the desired room? the shouldnt be needed to command the creatures to a desired room when you can just pick them up, throw them into the room they need to work into... and thats it... its less time than imputing command for they're keeper's job for each creature.

    1/2
I rate this with three and a half atomic roaches out of five

Actually, you don't put that it. That space is left so that no matter what the creature does, the keeper's decision overrules it.

I think the idea is, throwing a creature into a room is the command to override the natural job.

Here is my natural job cycle, showing how it applies to most creatures (when certain factors are excluded).

You guys seem to be trying to get control of my idea...

This will use the combo of DK1 AND DK2 job input styles. In case there is a job a creature WILL do first unless told otherwise, then he will do a set of jobs the creature would like to do but in whatever order, and ending with the job the creature wants to do the least.

the idea is to give it more life to every creature and so make them do thing that they will do,give them mroe personality
How is what I said not a personality? Besides, every creature has a job that should be useful. Even the casino had its uses. We shouldn't waste a creature job on something like visit a room. If anything, one of the last jobs to do would be to wonder around the dungeon. They can visit rooms they like.

    ---

This gives me an idea, how about a new variable that has a preference of what room the creature would go to when he wanders. This strikes your idea, reybag, and it would not waste a creature job as it is wander.
