Well Purple is used for the 5th player so I think they switched ids when they released the game: Purple is 5 and Light Green is 6. Why the Light Green claimed path tiles are missing is beyond me. Actually there were plans for Cyan and Orange keepers too if you checked out the frontend wad file and find the mapcolours.png there; however no Claimed path and wall are made for them two.
I'm still going to experiment with adding the missing claimed path texture for 5 by making a makeshift one and then using the ReCache tool.
They do have lot of unused textures. But they have models only for 6 players, Good, Neutral and the 4 human ones. Even though the tiles are simple squares, they all have models that reference the texture. And those they didn't bother to do. Of course I'm not entirely sure are they using these like we are or do they have some other hard coded system. At least just following the data structure you get the models for the tiles, not textures.
They mixed up the IDs for the yellow and green too I think that are in the game. At least they don't follow the same pattern with MapColours.png, or then we just don't read it right yet.
Well it was always Red Blue Green Yellow in the original DK1 they probably switched Green and Yellow for development purposes and then switched them back when it was released.
If they only have models for Good, Neutral, and the human players; then how does purple come into play? I want to see if it is possible to bring back the 6th keeper by adding the missing models from scratch.
Ah sorry I lied. There are floor tiles for 7 players, the model indexes start from 0. So yes. But probably to get it to use.. You need to at least modify the map data. As the player count and definitions come from there. I don't think the game checks what models it has.
Hmm, but you said earlier the IDs for each player are as follows;
GOOD_PLAYER_ID = 1
NEUTRAL_PLAYER_ID = 2
KEEPER1_ID = 3
KEEPER2_ID = 4
KEEPER3_ID = 5
KEEPER4_ID = 6
So if you subtract 1 from the list above; the models for each player would be 0 1 2 3 4 5 and purple being 6.
Yep, I just got mixed up with their ever changing indexing.
Well, what do the Claimed wall tiles for the missing player 6 look like anyway? Is there a way to view it?
Purple They look purple Actually the claimed path is a bit different from the others. But wall is the same. You can always use our model viewer to view those.

So the textures T_Claimed_Top5 and T_Claimed_Top6 are both purple keeper claimed top?
