Thread: Custom Map Files

    Default Custom Map Files

I'm on a Windows XP, and I made a map on another computer ( Windows 7 ). I transfered the files over to my Windows XP computer and I can find them in the DK2 file, but DK2 and the editor can't seem to find it in that particular file... the editor finds it on the desktop and I can open the DK2 file by clicking on it and the editor pops up and re-save it... but it still isn't "there". So, I'm thinking that I need to find the other folder where you contain custom made maps on DK2 but I can't find that particular file/how to get to it... I went to the Control Panel and turned view all files on... ( I mean all of them... ) and the files I made on the Windows XP still don't show up... so someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

That's exactly the same problem I got when I changed to a W7 computer. Though the maps are perfectly viewable for me IF I search them with the ditor. There's some kind of lock mark before the file itself, though I don't know what that could mean. Doesn't look like there's a solution, at least I couldn't find one.

There's one: you HAVE to run the level editor as an administrator and run DK2 the same way.

Well, that's what I'm doing always, it still doesn't work for me.
