    Default downloaded maps wont work..

    hello kk

i have download a few maps from the internet and the moment i enter the map it crashes, some that i tried were from meincookie
(faults and honnycomb or something...) and others played them so i think its my game.

i think i have version 1.0 i only have 4 skirmish maps, and there is no elits and the AI are decent and i think i have the original CD (I extracted it with DEAMON TOOLS)

    Pleas help.

They're 1.7 maps. Either update to 1.7 (though the AI is basically retarded) or mod your maps to 1.3

I know that there is a bug with the editor when used on versions lower then 1.7,

it would be nice if someone will refresh my memory and explain to me how to fix the bug. (I am talking about the bug with the thumbnails..)

I'm having the same problem as you playing downloaded maps. The game just crashes and goes back to the desktop after you select it from the skirmish menu screen. I have version 1.7 of dungeon keeper 2 so they should work. Don't know what else to suggest.

The only way i can get them to work is play it as a MPD map. They seem to work this way.
