    Here's the Land View Utilities pack for you, with a script which generates land view files for the first image you've created.


    land_view.7z (1.2 MB)

    You can easily create more "rgmapXX.png" files, and create land view files for more levels. You can also modify "viframe.png" to get different frame than the default tower window (just remember to keep transparency in some areas).

    The script just calls tools which I included in the pack:

    I think what this campaign needs is some actual playtesting and maybe a better level designer altogether. Blindly copying over DKII's level design over into DKI doesn't really work very well without making some changes to properly adapt to the differences between the two games, as this campaign proves.

    Levels 7 and 9 run into a similar issue Decagon had with Level 4, and Level 12 also runs into the issue but it's hilariously different, as the Heroes go in and slaughter the Blue Keeper, allowing you to win the realm without doing anything. I haven't actually tried Level 10 but judging by the Level Design, it too would run into the same problem as Level 12 as soon as Blue mines out of his fortifications. Level 11's Hero Heart/Dungeon is utterly pointless being as the Hero Keeper has nothing, and thus can put up no fight. It just basically wastes time while you wait for the Hero Heart to be destroyed, which is boring. Additionally, Level 11 has some other flaws such as a Yellow Claimed Portal that I believe is meant to be neutral, judging by the fact that it is separated from the Yellow Keeper by lava and is also walled off.

    I haven't playtested levels beyond Level 12 because I feel no need to. I've looked at the levels in the editor and have been able to spot all the flaws mentioned above from just from that, but playtested a few of them just to see them in action. There are additional flaws in the level design but I think I've said enough for you to get the point.
