    Default Gold Guard

    Name: Gold Guard

    Health: Moderate to Very High

    Attack: Moderate to Very High

    Spells: Heal(1), Speed(2), Armor(4), Knives(8).

Does: Likes to Guard important figuars and rooms like the dungeon heart or temple.

Hates: doing nothing, gmabeling, no creature comforts.

Likes: Fighting, guarding, working, guarding, trainning, and guarding.

Special: Hits way harder that the Royal Guard, but can be slightly slower without the speed spell.

Backround: There are 3 levels of guards: regular, Royal, Gold. Gold guard are the top of line Heros that cannot be defeated by normal creatures. Even Dark Angels have fallen before them. They are the most nobel and Honest heros in their army.

They have High aromor to help them, and can take a while before they die. Their attacks are moderate, such as the bile demon. But its the only guard with spells, and one at level 10 can take out entire keepers, so watch out for them. They will only guard the most nobel heros, such as princes or kings. They will be very rare, and when you find them, they are your sign that you are close to your target.

Look: The same as a Roayal Guard, but wears Yellow plating and gold staff.

Hey, this post is just to remind people of my idea. I wasn't sure if people hated it, or just didn't see it.

    Please say what you think

A Gold Guard sounds like a good-
"You're getting close to the final boss! YOU'RE GONNA DIE!"
    - Hero.

Pretty much, its almost like a Royal Guard just with better stats and is gold, yes?

The Knives Spell is more of an Archer thing. I think you should take it out.

The Guard and the Royal Guard are sort of like the Barbarian and the Giant. The difference is that the Royal Guard is better than the Guard in every way, and the Barbarian is a faster more average unit who is very resistant to the Lightning Keeper spell at level 6+.

The Royal Guard is just below the Lord of the Land... the Gold Guard must be beyond the Lord of the Land and be protected in the King's Land. They sound too powerful even so. I suggest toning it down, but he also must be greater than the Royal Guard which presents a problem.

You said a staff? Maybe we could make the Gold Guard a unit that is inbetween the Guard and the Royal Guard. His uses vary from below the Guard to above the Royal Guard similar to the Fly's usefulness. In a level like level 8, you want a Fly to explore but in a level like level 3... they are useless. Give the Gold Guard some kind of nice bonus strategy of use that makes him golden in some situations, and bronze in others.

@Evi: Yeah, he's the royal guards superer. so, yes he would be just a guard with gold.

@Metal Gear Rex: I'll take knives out, but why tone him down. He's like the same as a lord of the land, but slower, or slightly less health, or something. He's meant to guard only the top royality, so you wouldn't find him in early levels, or as an invading hero.

The thing about the stratgy is that he is used only on high fortesses, like in level 20 or 19. (dk2). So he will only be put in a level that he is useful in, making it hard to make him useless.

    *IDEA*
Maybe he is so royal, that he dies instanly rather than being part of the keeper's army, Making it almost imposable to get him.

That is a Royal Guard. Little slower with little less health. HOWEVER. Royal Guards actually do more damage than the Lord of the Land. Therefore, the Gold Guard would be just like the Royal Guard, which is useless.

Your idea sounds good, but from my previous paragraph... not too well...

It's hard to give him real strategy and specialty because he is a melee unit and magical units usually have that kind of strategy. Like uses level 4 DK1 warlocks against a Horned Reaper and then to a Wizard...

Well, in dk2 the roayal guard would do as much damage as a lord, but then again, so would a knight. In dk3, they can be tuned down so its more evenly balenced. otherwise you might as well try to get all the royal and gold guards and go right after the boss of the level.

royal guards were meant to be patrolers, guards were meant to be blockers and breachers, and gold guards are meant to be protecters.-

So we are basically weakening one unit to add in another? Seriously, I think the Gold Guard has some potential, but you're not using him quite right.

Not to add one, even if we don't add the gold guard, I still think the royal guard could be tuned down. I mean, get a few on level 5, and they will beable to kill a keeper faster than a dark angel.

But the gold guard would be like the lord of the land in attack, like the bile demon in health, and like the royal in speed.

Any ferther questions? or you finally got some ideas?

I do agree with the Royal Guard being toned down.

Alright, look at this. Comparison. Black Knight/Knight are literally exactly the same...

    Health-
    Black Knight/Knight: 4000
    Dark Angel: 3000
    Royal Guard: 5000
    Lord of the Land: 6000

    Damage-
    Black Knight/Knight: 400
    Dark Angel: 840
    Royal Guard: 500
    Lord of the Land: 400

    Recharge Melee-
    Black Knight/Knight: 1.5 Seconds
    Dark Angel: 1.79 Seconds
    Royal Guard: 1.79 Seconds
Lord of the Land: 1.5 Seconds

So in the long run, the Royal Guard does more damage than the Lord of the Land but has less health. He is rarely seen, however.
