Name: Succubus
Stats:
Health: Medium-Low
Attack: Medium
Defense: Medium
Armor: Medium-Low
Accuracy: Medium
Speed: Medium
Dexterity: High
Intelligence:Medium
Wage: High
Skills:
Level 1: Attack
Level 4: Soothe (Distracts the enemy, making them perform worse in combat)
Level 8: Seduce (Charms one unit to follow the Succubus. He / She is charmed, and will do nothing but follow her and stand beside the Succubus. Should someone attack them or block their path to the temptress, the charmed unit will retaliate or engage in combat. This effect wears off over time, or if the Succubus is the one to attack the unit.)
Level 10: Scarlet Wish (Grants the target's deepest desires, before ripping them all apart within the corridors of his / her mind. This drives the target insane, attacking anyone, friend or foe. There is a small chance for resistance, and this lasts for 5-10 mintures)
Information / Purpose:
Demonic temptresses of lust and desire, these femme fatals distracts enemy units so her allies can finish them off. They are relatively new to the Dungeon Keeper universe, and are only a grade higher than the average creature.
Behavior in Dungeon:
Succubi tend to be bored when in a dungeon, so they may go out and seduce your own creatures to follow them (regardless of the ability learned) to her lair. Both of them enter, and the creature later reemerges with some HP loss due to the Succubi ways (However, both obtain a small happiness and effiency boost). This normally keeps the Succubus happy, and she rarely needs much else. In addition, if a Prison is built, she may spend her time there tempting the prisoners. This itself may result in faster conversion times when they are moved to the Torture Chamber.
When angered, she may seduce a minion and outright kill it afterwards to calm herself down. This includes any creature, whether its your favorite Level 10 minion or your Horned Reaper. The creature can offer no resistance (exceptions listed in Notes).
Jobs:
Prison Warden (Tempting Prisoners, possible faster conversion)
Dungeon "Support" (Possible to make creatures happy - at a price)
Pray / Scavenge (Only when absolutely bored)
Manufacturing / Research (Skills are basically nil, but they have the ability...)
Obtainable By:
Portal, Conversion
Style:
Support / Disruption. Succubi are basically only temptresses, they lack combat ability if they fail to seduce her victims.
Hang Out Group:
Basically almost anyone... (Regrettably, this includes Bile Demon, giant insects, and other such thingsā¦)
Hates:
-Being Tortured (They are used to the other side of things)
-Those who are basically impossible to seduce. ("Hard to Get" people)
Loves:
-Successful Seductions (No comment)
-Tempting those who can't have. (No comment)
Lair:
A mini-portal with a bed beside it.
The Succubi needs far outweigh a simple lair in your dungeon. While they have a bed for plain sleeping, they use the portal for almost EVERYTHING else. (That means you can't see the other side; Succubi need their privacy too you know!)
Appearance:
Depending on the Succubi encountered, they can be extremely demonic temptresses or look almost human with horns / wings / devil tail. The final appearance on these femme fatals is yet to be determined.
How Introduced:
She appears somewhere in the early-middle of the game, about the time the Songstress is introduced.
Attracted by:
Prison (At least 3x3)
Temple (At least 3x3) [May be replaced with Scavenger Room]
Pictures:
Succubus Pictures
Just be warned here that some may be a bit revealing than others. Nothing is extremely explicit however, do that on your own time.
The author of this version of the Succubus believes that all the "Safe" and Posture 4 / Anime of the "Not Safe" should be the ones used as a basis for WFTO.
Succubus Notes:
Succubus Notes
Succubus Notes:
Succubus can not cast Seduce or Scarlet Wish on...
-Elites
-Lord / Lady of the Land
-Endgame Bosses
-Scripted / Bonus Units (Special Map-Only units, etc)
Examples:
-Succubi can cast these spells on Horned Reapers or Dark Angels. (Although they can resist)
-Succubi can't cast these spells on an elite Goblin or an Avatar, for they auto resist.
Soothe and Scarlet Wish does have a chance to be negated by the creature, depending on how powerful they normally are. (Dark Angels / Horned Reapers have higher resistance values than a Goblin.)
The above also applies when "tempting" prisoners in the Prison. She has an effect on Horned Reapers and Dark Angels, but not an elite Goblin or Avatar.
* * *
Nothing can resist a Succubus when she is messing around with units you already control. This is very important.
While an enemy Avatar may laugh off (complete resistance) to the Succubus, when he is converted to your side, he is subject to her charms as anyone else...
There is an easter egg when she seduces a Horned Reaper. She loses the HP instead of him, but both parties still gain the bonuses.
In addition, the HP loss is based on a formula (% with max damage that can be allotted).
* * *
Dungeon Behavior:
When she gets bored, she seduces a creature to follower her into her lair, taking them out of action for a time. When they reemerge, they recieve a small boost to happiness and effiency (although the creature takes 5-15% damage, this damage is reversed if a Horned Reaper is seduced [Succubus takes the damage instead])
Priority:
-Creatures of her level, idle.
-Creatures 1-2 lower than her level, idle.
-Creatures of her level, busy.
-Creatures of her 1-2 lower than her level, idle.
-All others.
An important thing to note is that she does not slow the dungeon in any way in the long run. While she may take the creature that is working into her lair, the bonus he / she recieves makes up for the lost time.
___
When she is pissed, she will randomly select a creature of her level to outright seduce and kill outright with no chance of that creature resisting. This includes your favorite minion or Horned Reaper. A way to bypass this evilness is to have "trash" level equivalent creatures so that she may target them instead. (Why did you piss her off in the first place?) When there is nothing of her level, she targets the next level below her, and so on.
Now, when the Succubus is pissed off, she normally seduces and kills off that unit, and he / she can provide no resistance.
However, if that unit is an elite or a special / scripted unit, they catch on early and auto retaliates when she begins to attack. (Instead of being one shotted, they engage in normal combat. Both are still considered under your control.)
If the unit is part of a high tier, there is a high chance for them to notice the real reason and will retailiate themselves. However, they will retaliate at half HP. (They catch on a bit after the fact, but can still retaliate and probably put the Succubus in her place).
...And in the extreme event no one is around...
