noob-friendly? what was the purpose of making lots of restriciton rules if it was not for making the game noob-friendly? heheheh, funny ...
restrictions are for avoiding obvious game exploits like DK's hordes.
Not for making every noob happy.
What is to stop the building of multiple combat pits? Not as efficient perhaps but it would still act the same way or very long combat pits.
It seems your working to implement some rules into MP maps. That is fine as long as you don't have to many complicated in-game ones to remember. Say no more than ten or fifteen.

those written in post 1 are pretty much all.
are there any "league" or group playing regularly by these rules?
or has this not been decided or applied yet?
THere were insufficient players willing to play. I've started a ladder last year and nobody was interested. There are several reasons why people dont want to play online:
1. people are afraid to play online. fact.
2. people have different versions and dont want to change. Ex, 1.3 dont want 1.7 or 1.7 dont want 1.3
3. Bugs. Bugs mostly rise in 1.7 version, but because of 2. people dont switch.
4. Not that many active players left.
I know 2 people whom I can call really "active" players, (meaning that they will actually play if u offer them a game)
MGR and Evi. All the others step back, which is really dissapointing.
soz for errors, I'm ina hurry
Create a leadder without any rules and have players report the winner and then just let it run, even if there are several months between games.
ye, get the ladder goin'. If the rules are frightening people, screw the rules. If rules makes people play, embrace them. Simple. Where do I sign up for the ladder?
I played mostly 1.3 back in the days, most people there. I would gladly play that instead of 1.7 if it makes less crash.
okay, I will make another ladder.
