    Default Dungeon Keeper 3D

Okay I have decided i want to play Keep3d.exe and Deep3d.exe
But when i open either Game, the The program starts up and does 1 of 2 things,
    1. The Resolution changes many times, and then the game hangs and Alt Ctrl Delete is unusable because the resolution is so low, requiring either a restart of the computer or put into sleep mode and then out again.

    2. The Resolution changes many times, and then the program just closes without an eror message.

I don't know what to do, as Nothing will work.

    My specs:
GFX Card: nVidia Geforce GT 9500
    RAM: 1Gb
Processor: (Irrelevent) 2.1 Ghz Dual core
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Basic 6.0, Build 6002(32-Bit)
Direct X version: Dx10 with Dx9 Installed to fill in the missing componets.

Help please as i like better graphics.

Be sure to use those straight on the DKGold CD and NOT those from the installer. This is because they are bigger in size and work better.

Oh yea i forgot to say that when i first installed 3d and istarted it up it came with an error message saying "This is not a valid win32 application"
Which is the vista equivlent to "This is not a guilty win32 Program" So i then copied the 3D executables from the Dungeon Keeper Gold disc. So i already did that.

Edit: WTF!? now deeper95 is not working, it just goes to the horny screen and just closes out after that, but keeper95 works, wtf is going on here? I just played it last night with no system changes. I am reinstalling DK.
Edit Again: Reinstalling DK did nothing, and 3d still dosent work and Deeper95 still does not work.

Maybe a little off-topic, but what's the difference between playing DK1 in DOSbox and press Alt + R ingame, and the 3D Dungeon Keeper? Any noticable improvements?

OT: I would suggest playing it in DOSbox with the Alt + R shortcut, but as stated above, I don't know whether this differs greatly from Keeper3D...

I don't use dosbox so i wouldnt know the difference between the dos version of the game, and the windows and 3d version, but i have gotten the 3d version to work before, it is just that after i unistalled it a year ago, i have just recently installed it, and 3d dosent work anymore.

The 3D version is just rendered using Direct3D. It still uses the 2d models and everything else but it's rendered with Direct3D instead of DirectX (basically, the rotations and things like that may be a bit better)

Cool, I was afraid I was missing out on something, but if that's it...

The 3D version uses bicubic blur on textures - some people prefer blurred world. But it does not support eye lens effects - in my opinion these effects add a lot to the game, and this is why I prefer DirectDraw DK instead of Direct3D one.
