Thread: Creating textures from source PNGs

The only things I can see that could be changed are:
    1. split xstone_wall_clobber into the hatchery column (top row and bottom left) and a 2x1 hatchery floor.
    2. x_stone_Wall_chaotic - these are mainly used around the base of the portal when it's surrounded by water/lava.
    3. separate that column from the barrack floor tiles. I'm still not sure where that column is used though
    4. remove the top row from xground_stone_solid, as these aren't floor tiles
( for consistency with the xground_research/scavenge/training/treasure,

    5. xstone_var currently contains a column tile (unclaimed version of xcolumn_claimed_corner( middle top) and the ceiling tile)
(maybe place them in a file xstone_misc with the top row elements from xground_stone_solid)

Beyond that, I'm at a loss

    Well, this is hard.

I kind of did that, but instead of the top of hatchery floor I placed the stone textures for which I couldn't find other place.
It is not how's used in the game, but at least it looks consistent.

I've also seen it used on the inside of a room... was it hatchery? Anyway, I think I'll leave it as it is.

Well, if I separate it, I won't have a place to put it. I'm still thinking about it.

This is true, but I can't find other place for these textures. The broken stone also isn't used for workshop.

I'd prefer no not have any miscellanous/various collections. I removed it and placed the textures to other files where they seem to match by color.

    Update:
    divided_textures_04.7z

I'm pretty much out of suggestion now, so it might as well stay as is, if you're happy with it

The chaotic textures don't seem to be used anywhere other than the claimed and unclaimed variants of the portal base when near water/lava/ dirt
And the first 2 from xground_stone_solid are wall top tiles, this may also be the case for the first 2 in the xground_stone_clobber, but one of them is also used as the top for the barrack column.
The corner column is also used in the graveyard with the 3rd tile from xground_stone_clobber.
I can't find where that column in the xground_barrack is actually used.

I'll leave it as it is then.

Thank you, you've been a big help.

    EDIT:

I uploaded the new gfx sources here:
    http://keeper.lubiki.pl/html/dk_keeperfx_devel.php#gfx

All texture packs are now created from these divided PNGs.
