    Arrow NEWS Update - Animation

    Crazy, isn't it?!

    I've found us a nice 3DsMax-to-Milkshape3D Exporter

    what does this mean?

*Easier animation - I can do it in a snap in 3ds max, but I hate working in MS3D
actually, I can't even remember how to animate in ms3d (and it needs to be in ms3d format for the NBK engine to import it)

*Get this - MOTION CAPTURE! Yep, and i've already got a huge library of mocaps that we can use!

*Automatic Walk & Run Animations - Yes, max does this!

Motion capture has a lot of data running through the pipes, but In 3DsMax you can reduce all the bone keyframes that aren't needed, automatically!

    This is gonna be awesome!

Not the whole truth. IKSLM also created a custom model format (.br5) which seems to use simple vertex animation (in combination with vertex buffer objects).
Should be easy to write a direct Max->br5 exporter if this format continues to be used. Each frame is consecutively stored as simple float[vertexCount*3].

3ds max > milk > br5 is good enough - no need for a direct exporter.

If you convert lots of models or many revisions of a model you will appreciate it
Anyways, I just stated that one *could* be written.
