    If it's a DOS file it might work if you drag speech.dat onto it.

    Can you say where you downloaded that extractor? It's not going to help if we don't exactly know what extractor file you're using.

    Dungeon Keeper Utilities
    I've written a series of utilities for Dungeon Keeper. Rather than keep each one in a separate zip file, I've put all of them (apart from Adikted, which is a much bigger project) in the same file.

    Utilities:

    * xsfx: Sound extractor
    * xgfx: Static graphics extractor
    * exanim: Animation frame extractor
    * terrain: Terrain extractor
    * rsfx: Sound effect reverser
    * script: Level script editor (unfinished)
    * dktext: Command line editor for text.dat (so your level scripts can refer to your own text)
    * dklevel: Archiver for Dungeon Keeper levels
    * rnc/dernc: Compressor/decompressor for RNC compressed files.
    * cfg: Editor for creature.txt

    i am using xsfx

    DKSound from DKTools does also the same work. It's probably in French, but it's very minimal.

    DKSound allows to play, extract, activate/deactivate and replace the sound effects and speeches of Dungeon Keeper, but also of Theme Hospital as well.

    And "Dungeon Keeper Millenium" doesn't have any utilities. "Dungeon Keeper Extras" does.
