I'm game. If you'll play a map this week and post your review here I will do another one next week. Perhaps we can get Dayokay to do one the week after that.
Dungeon Keeper 2 Patch: With More Balance and Pie [Hiatus]
Forever Hiatus. Probably. Latest Version: 3.5 w/Levels 1-11 Revised.
The Awakening: GM Powers Activate!
Tesonu is napping!
Spear pike Ridge looks an interesting map. I might give it a try.
Are we playing with last full release or nightly builds?
Is anything happening with builds any more?
I played Testemfil on the latest nightly, but because the keepers build so many imps I had to restart in 0.4.6 due to the creature limit.
Mefisto is now refactoring all the old code after the migration to github, and that will include bringing the code from the two guest developers up to his standards. This will take a few months, after which he will continue with new stuff.
I know I have enjoyed Dragon Whelps and Imp Roulette in the recent past. I was defeated quite a few times in Dragon Whelps, and recall it was a long level. I wasn't alert to flaws, and didn't check scripts afterwards either.
We could amongst ourselves include maps (fixed if necessary) in an 'approved' map-pack download. This would be expanded (and fixed) over time as new maps are included?
Sure. Or we could maintain a list:
Excellent
-
-
Good
-
-
Average
-
-
Not recommended
-
-
Broken/Problematic
-
-
And a separate list for maps that are worth fixing.
We could put all the maps on there, it's just over 300, I'm sure between us we've played that many levels over the years. If whenever we play a map we assign it to the list we populate it rapidly, and people looking for a map to play will know where to look. After we've got a bunch it is easy enough to make downloadable map packs of the ones above.
