    Default Dungeon Specials

    I'm guessing this is a no but always an idea...

    Can you make it so that the AI uses Dungeon Specials?

    It uses them when they reach the Library but only in certain situations. Not instantly like in DK2, that was kinda dumb...

    Reveal Hidden Map: Ignore, obviously.
    Transfer Creature: Ignore, obviously.
    Locate Hidden Land: Ignore, obviously.
    Make Safe: Ignore, because there isn't really a good way to decide when AI uses it.

    Increase Level after maybe a minute or so when the Max Creatures has been met.

    Steal Hero instantly because it would be smartest.

    Multiply Creatures: When Creature Max is met, and there is enough gold to allow creatures to train (I saw it will pick up training creatures to drop at the Lair if he was low on gold)

    Resurrect Creature: Will resurrect only creatures level 5 and higher, and will randomly select a creatures of the highest level class possible.

    Just something to improve since AI doesn't use those and is left at a disadvantage already since it does not get skeletons and ghosts or converts. However, you can use a script trick in the latest version to get skeletons.

    I think that specials are for human player, not for computer keeper.

    In my opinion, AI should never use specials. This way if AI has one in its library, it may be treated as a reward for the human player who will conquer it.

    Reviving this for a quick question: is there any chance you could add new Dungeon Specials? I don't have any need or good idea, I'm just wondering if something simple like a... I dunno, Double Gold special could be added, especially now that global effects (like Heal, Protect, Speed all etc.) can apparently be called via custom sacrifices.

    I think that is not possible before there is a DungeonKeeper FX Editor after all. Would not make even sense.

    BTW: When will there be a new release of DK-FX?!?

    Oh right, thanks, I actually forgot about that... but is it possible in the code in theory or is is too hard-coded to be considered at the moment?

    It is possible to replace any of unused objects with another special. Some functions (like multiply gold) should be quite easy to implement even now, while others may still be hard.

    Next release: the v0.35 has some serious bugs, so I guess a patch will be released soon - in 2 weeks maybe.

    Oh, so we'd be able to use them by Adkited since that has access to all objects, used and unused?
