    Duke Ragereaver,

NO! The AI sucks enough as is (Hell, even the editor manual mentions that...). I don't need something else to make me pull my hair out.

Hell. The AI in 2 is worse than in 1! And that's a bloody feat, let me tell you. The AI in 2 can't even find portals unless it's right near them...no wonder in almost every campaign level the enemy keepers start developed.
    No shit...

If you play DK1 you know what I'm talking about. In the case you don't, some creatures were lair enemies and would start fighting each other to the death when spotting each other in the lair.

    Notable enemies:
    • Flies and spiders
    • Warlocks and vampires
    • Bile demons and skeletons

Yeah, lol, I played a bit of demo. I ended up with a lair full of dead flies because i wasn't paying attention .

Also, Dark Mistresses and Samurai tended to slaughter each other.

Not sure who wins on average, though. My bet is on the Samurai, personally. Freeze.

Dark Mistress and Samurai are very similar units. The difference is that one is support, the other melee.

The Samurai/Dark Mistress have the same set of spells up to level 7, but at level 9 the Samurai gets Freeze, to catch its enemies, and the Dark Mistress gets Drain to further support.

I liked the Dk1 Wizard, he required a bit of strategy to defeat with rebound.

Okay, seriously, I KNOW I'm going to sound like a complete as***le, but...

"Hypersensitive Creatures"!? "Broken Game Mechanic"!? All you have to do is build one fu**ing lair for evil creatures and one for heroes! What's the matter, that too complicated for you? All they do is get "unhappy", then get some sleep and they're all better! In DK1 you had to MICRO-MANAGE your entire fu***ng army, 'cause half your creatures would KILL (No boo-hoo unhappy whining, KILL!) the other half if they had to share the goddamn lair! And if you get converted heroes into the equation, you have to keep your creatures under a MICROSCOPE if you don't want them to slaughter each other! And if you want to get HORNY, you have to babysit him like a newborn if you don't want him to go on a killing spree and kill most of your other creatures! In DK2 you just snap your fingers and - oh, look - here's an indestructible bloodthirsty maniac, off to kill my enemies. Whoopee! So don't go on renaming your bad dungeon managing/layouts to "a broken game mechanic"! "Bile Demons always get unhappy/angry"? Build a Hatchery and Lair close, preferably with Training Room and Workshop near as well. Seriously, is it that hard to do it? "Hate Fairies, they all get skeletized"? Seriously, I won't even go there. It's just too easy.

"This wasn't designed as a topic of discussion, this was meant as an anger filled rant to a broken game mechanic"... Right... If it's not meant for discussion, why the hell'd you make a thread about it!?

Yeah, I know. I sound like a completely heartless bastard right now. I can't believe I got this worked up about something like this, either... *shakes head*

Okay that last comment you made giggles was stupid. Nijuni_Kuro made a valid point. This is no broken mechinic it is you just being to lazy to find room for 2 lairs. Its easy and costs a small amount of gold. So try to think of valid reasons and think about what you have to say.

I am reminded of Grith when I see that... but also confused in how you're Keeper Kuroki now. :P

Either way, you have to create a whole new dungeon for it. I played it in Frosty's Lair. I didn't have the room for a whole new dungeon, which was troubling. I can't just create a second Lair and Hatchery, because in DK2, they wander around. Locked doors, yeah... but this is why I build a Casino.

It is also true that DK2 is much slower than DK1. Yet the creatures have more whining.

    Obliven1993,

A valid point, yes, but structure and presentation are just as important. Insulting me in a mess of words and excessively cussing qualifies for neither.

His kind of statement would not be allowed in real life. I'm one of those who believes civil conversation should continue online, thus you see my point of conflict.
