I'm using 1920x1080, and have no issues. What's your operating system?
Could you try installing directx 9 to see if it fixes your issue?

Yes, I found that in windlib is fixed, with directx is laggy. Directx 9 won't install on Win 10 (error message from installer itself)
With all res setted to 1920x1080 I see that the menu is zoomed and image is cutted on top and bottom:
In game, otherwise, I see that some UI is really big, like creatures level, player hand, tutorial messages:
There is a way to resize that elements when res are high?
Good.
It should. https://www.dosgamers.com/directx-9-windows-10
And no, there's no resizing no.

Is there a way to make the game remember to save the walls height option in the graphics menu when you load a save file?
I set it to have low walls and when I reload a save changes it back to high walls.
Well, yes, make the save game when you have low walls. It should store the walls position of the time you made the save.
