I managed to record in OBS studio with the screen capture method.
However, the aspect ratio is bad, and the image is stretched to fit in 16/9 format instead of 4/3.
I tried to resize the canvas but I ended with a black video.
I don't know exactly how to fix this.
Anyone tried to record with DosBox ?
add this in dosbox cfg:
1) Easiest way:
aspect=true
output=opengl
2) Harder way (if easiest doesn't work):
fullresolution=1600x1200
#please type your desktop resolution
#if problem still exists - try to use 4:3 resolution for fullcreeen (your monitor should support it)
#so please google your monitor model and resolutions it can support, and select highest 4:3 from there (but better to use your desktop resolution, I bet it's possible to configure dosbox for add black pillarboxes for DK)
windowresolution=1280x960
#please type your windowed resolution
output=opengl
aspect=false
scaler=normal2x
I tried to record both in doxbox and in keeperfx, but - I only use windowed mode (I don't play any game in fullscreen) and only use game capture mode for dosbox (which has "output = opengl" option in cfg) and only use window capture mode for keeper fx
Results:
DosBox:
Example with bad cfg (ini) settings (a lot of lags in game): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXnA...e_polymer=true
Example with good cfg (ini) settings from gog (no lags in game): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRXj...e_polymer=true
KeeperFX: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...e_polymer=true
If you have any questions, ask please.
For now - what I have got:
In DosBox - you need:
1) Good cfg (ini) settings for correct performance without lags (you can find them in gog version or ask me to upload cfg)
2) OpenGL renderer ("output = opengl" in DosBox cfg). Please note, that gog version does not have OpenGL turned on, so you need to do this manually (or ask me for cfg)
OpenGL is required to make game capture of obs possible
In KeeperFX I used DxWND software to run it in window (launched DxWND from administrator) and used window capture in OBS (launched OBS from administrator). Please read this thread from the very beginning, because I told a lot of information about OBS and KeeperFX settings, maybe they will be helpful for you

Thanks for the advices.
Btw I am using a laptop, with screen resolution 1920*1080.
See you in a few days after some testings
Welcome
Then:
1) Easiest way:
aspect=true
output=opengl
2) Harder way (if easiest doesn't work):
fullresolution=1920x1080
windowresolution=1280x960
output=opengl
aspect=false
scaler=normal2x
3) Also, could you please go to windows display settings and give me screenshot with list of all resolutions you can set for your desktop? Or just type them in text here. I want to know, what is the highest 4:3 resolution your laptop can support

Here is what happens with DxWnd, as soon as I touch my mouse
I also still have to do some size adjustments
In DosBox it is a speed problem, I'm trying to fix this another day.

update, it's now working great with Dosbox after some mouse sensitivity tweaking. OBS does the job
DxWnd, still has mouse issue, even with your config file.
I'm investigating
