I applied all those settings, but still cant get it to run through the program, i click run, and nothing happens
Have you enabled the compatibility settings from step 12 for the colors?
Does it run at all through DxWnd, if not, timing settings do not matter.
You open DxWnd, add the editor.exe to it, and you're mostly done.
Some settings I would recommend:
- support offscreen 3d" in DirectX tab
- OpenGL renderer, and Full Billinear Filter in DirectX tab
- Handle Exceptions" in compat. tab
- 640x480 window resolution
These too:
As for timings, I don't know. I corrupted my editor and still need to fix it sometime, so I can't try myself. Try some options on the timing tab, like a limit, or slowing down the cpu.

On the main tab, do you have the path filled in there of the editor?
yes i have "E:\keeperfx\Editor\Editor.exe" for both 'path' and 'launch'
And if you type that in the windows run box, the editor does run?
Try taking it out of launch, keep that empty.
yes it runs, but it looks the same (colors messed up and runs super fast).
tried taking it out of launch, still wouldn't run using the program
Try disabling all compatibility settings first in windows for the editor when you try to use dxwnd. Also, be sure to have dxwnd configured to run the editor in full screen.
If that still does not work, try 'advanced game loader' for the editor.
that worked for the colors, but I checked 'full screen only' and it's still in a window.....also I tried "eddiebaby's 'timing trick' of 'cpu slow-down of 1:30, as we have the same processor and that works when I move the mouse, then it speeds up again when the mouse is idle, which is tolerable
