Yes. But now that there is rock, you can't get it anymore.
NG+ Is designed to be mostly played without transferred units, and getting the transfer specials is a hard objective hopefully giving some replay value. There are some hints in levels to tell you what the objectives were to try for next time. In flowerhat, you heard the rocks collapse when you lost access to the special.
