    Default Druid eat animation alternative

    Hi
A retail with the druid retain my attention : he eats like the sorceror he is coming from.
But in my mind... instead of the common sorceror, the druid is in his essence vegan -and the only food in dungeon is chicken as you know, so he is in front of a dilemma he solves his way.
So I rework the animation to make him use a spell to transform chicken into vegetables,
The result is not organic -obviously- so the green color is strong but not really denatured ingame, so it's cool -and i like it this way, but it may be tarnished and palette corrected.
In green, chicken thick looks like a brocoli, and breast like your favorite vegetable!
In brief, I share this little work.

By the way, should he have word of power? This fire spell for a forest and ecologist creature? Why not the terrible and unused CHICHEN SPELL !! (to make feel to the enemy the hard way of life for a battery animal?)
Maybe eating can make him... more unhappy due to the chicken pain he feels and compassionates with ?And in return he can be more happy... to be woken up... because he is... "woke" : DK must be a 2020s game sin't it? ^^
This way, the creature takes an original (and, I hope, funny) personality and everybody is happy : ecologists have an ethical ans sustainable minion to use, and anti-ecologists can slap or torture him (if they are climate septical AND ALSO a little psychopath ^^, don't judge behavior in video games and political opinion)

    Enjoy this green animation !

    Haha this is great!

It's such an evil Dungeon Keeper thing, to be vegan but to still convert a chicken into a vegetable. xD

I hope the green looks good ingame. Have you tested this?

This is great! This would be a good thing to upload to the Workshop on keeperfx.net!

I'm not sure what you mean by this - Do you mean that these colours are not in the palette so do not display like this ingame? if that's the case then it's something we can look at.

I do like the idea of the bright colours though, especially as they're using sparingly. This is good work and is a good addition to the game.

    Hi, thanks for your returns,
For some little screenshots to look the colors in game context.

What do you think? good colors for a magic meal? or too strong ones?

The chicken spell is not unused by the way, the Time Mage has it. I would like the druid to have a familiar, so a summon creature type spell. Problem is I would need to make that first.

    Hi
Yep, the time mage has it, but i removed it to give him the time bomb and give chicken to druid cause that makes more sense to me - and I had forgotten that ^^"

For the eat animation I just rework it with the good palette, the difference is thin but it's better to be rigorous.
    The result is attached.

The dark knight re-coloured (ONCE AGAIN!) will follows early or later with other things - I finally understood my tools!

You can steal this from the Priestess, she already does exactly this.

Oh you're right. I never seen that in 20 years, or I forget... But I discovered 1000 detals by looking animations so closely, that's one more...
So my broccoli was Ok, but according to your point and my method of using to the maximum the originals contains, here are jointed the new animation :
The druid now have the priest's salad on his plate and this meal looks... organic. Moreover the bite he is eating is now green and no longer brown as original chicken. Is it better?

To the future : i'm working on elites creatures for FX, even for the fanmade creatures and so for the druid.
My ideas is to have a white or grey dressed and light haired druid with a cauldron as lair, like Diogen, maybe armed with a billhook or a ladle /or a warlock stick. This look is inspirated by Uderzo's druid Panoramix. A quite more red skin seems to be heated by to much drunk alcohol -his magic potion so i may keep this color for the skin.
For now the result looks like in the attached files. Anyone to make me a return on the colors please? Thks ;-)

Druid looks pretty good like that I think yes, with the food.

The pale druid looks too pale overall, not enough contrast in between his hair, robes, skin and the shadow inside his robes. From keeperfx.net try the creature recolor tool.
