    Default Just updated to the newest version of KFX

    Why can I not pick up creatures? Right-click Slap works, but left-click Pick up does not. Yet when I click on the creature's icon in the Panel, it registers it with that little error buzz noise. What is going on?

    What's your keeperfx.log say? Can you share it? Also it would be better for you to join the discord for technical problems you will get answers more rapidly than here.

    Is it map specific? If you start a new campaign or new free level, can you pick up there?

    Seems like you failed to get all the config files. Overwrite ALL files when installing an alpha, and when installing a full version, do a fully clean install.

    That may be because I replaced the creature CFGs and also MAGIC CFG and RULES CFG and CREATURE CFG with the previous ones in order to maintain my own modifications.... I don't want to lose my own modifications... what do I do?

    Put your own configs in a personal configs folder. Edit levels/personal.cfg to enable a folder for those. In that folder put your magic, rules and creature.cfg, and another folder for custom creatures.
    Because without exception you should always update the updated configs. We are quickly moving more and more options from the code into configs, so you can do a lot more by editing configs, but that also means the information from the configs is needed. If it is missing, stuff will stop working.

    But luckily configs stack, so if you configure a campaign to take your personal configs, and information is missing from that, it will take the backup information from the default configs, and everything will be fine.

    Put your own configs in a personal configs folder. Edit levels/personal.cfg to enable a folder for those. In that folder put your magic, rules and creature.cfg, and another folder for custom creatures.
    Because without exception you should always update the updated configs. We are quickly moving more and more options from the code into configs, so you can do a lot more by editing configs, but that also means the information from the configs is needed. If it is missing, stuff will stop working.

    But luckily configs stack, so if you configure a campaign to take your personal configs, and information is missing from that, it will take the backup information from the default configs, and everything will be fine.
