Invincible versus Invisible:
Main Objective:
- Infiltrate
Lord Ulrich's Castle without raising the alarm and assassinate him.
Sub Objective:
- Massacre
Lord Ulrich's Western Garrison to convince the
Village of Trolls to build you a bridge to the other side of the river.
- Steal the maps of the Castle from its libraries and get into the main library of Lord Ulrich to learn about the secret passages of his Castle.
- Find out if the legend about a
Giant Living in the Walls is true.
- There's a
Ghost haunting the Castle, use him to scare the guards.
Problems with the map and things to fix/build:
- Hero party limit reached, I'm not willing to do all the work-arounds.
- Player should not be able to mine the gold seams within the castle; it should immediately raise an alarm and cause heroes to attack the player.
- Approaching room limit, it's not busted yet, but since I haven't fully tested the map, it could be a potential issue?
- The southern side of the map needs to be finished.
- Near the Troll Village I haven't placed the Eastern Garrison before the castle, the only attackable hero outpost, the one that needs to be destroyed in order to convince the trolls to build the bridge to the other side.
- Player shouldn't be able to make or destroy bridges or torture chambers.
- Hero levels are probably not well balanced.
- Claiming the libraries inside the castle should reveal areas of interest to the player.
- I haven't figured out if there's a way to make heroes play in the casino and train in the training room, so the two big chambers on both sides of the map seem not very alive.
- King Reginald should be renamed to a "berserker" unit that's the most powerful hero except for Lord Ulrich, the main antagonist.
- There should be patrols not only within rooms but also going through the whole castle. Overall, there's many missing patrols.
- The Yellow Keeper's dungeon probably needs to be a tiny bit rebuilt since the player won't be able to claim rooms in it. Possibly it could just be changed to a neutral keeper, giving the map a free yellow keeper that could maybe be used as the outside hero garrisons? I dunno.
- The Blue Keeper ghost thing is not well thought out, perhaps it could be just a bunch of skeletons summoning a dark angel? Maybe the player should lure a hero into the temple and have them killed by skeletons to summon a dark angel?
- The Casino, Training Room and the Grand Library probably need to be tiny bit rebuilt so that player can pass inside without having to claim the whole room.
How the map is supposed to be played:
The player should not be allowed to frontally attack the castle or the eastern garrison, since they would be attacked by a continuous large number of heroes coming from the gates in the eastern garrison. Instead the player should sneak through the walls and slowly amass the scarce resources in order to assassinate Lord Ulrich.
Suggested path and order of playing: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple.
