Angry Angry Creatures - only solution is to return them to portal ?

    Dear all

I faced a problem in Keeperfx. It is very difficult to pacific the angry creatures [previously we can drop gold to make them happy]. The demonspawn got angry when i run out of gold for them to train. Once angry, they don't train and vandalise my dungeon. In the end, i throw them all back to portal and get another creature type that dont get angry.

Worse is the Horn Reaper, they got angry in Tulip Map and dont train at all. There is 0 way to pacify them. I drop chickens, gold and imps for them to kill and nothing works. In the end i throw them back to Portal.

As a dungeon keeper, i am very pissed that my creatures got angry and i got no solution. I ain't gonna beg them to be happy.

Do advise if you know a way.

    Dear Lollipot,

In DK1 indeed even a tiny bit of gold would make even the most expensive and angry creature fully happy. This was due to a bug.
In KeeperFX, gold still makes creatures happy the same way, but the amount of gold dropped in relation to how big their payday is determines how much happiness they gain. So your demonspawn could have been made happy with a bigger gold contribution than you tried. But demonspawn indeed demand to keep training occasionally, so your best bet is to let them train.
If you run out of gold, do not stop training, but move out through the map to get more gold and fight enemies. Since if you are not training you are not getting stronger anyway.

Horned Reapers work the same way, but (like in DK1) have a point at which they become unreasonably angry. This is when they kill any of your creatures they can and will never get happy again. At this point getting rid of them or channeling their anger towards the enemy are the only options. Before they start teamkilling they too can be made happy with gold, but they are very expensive. Tulipscent is a big trick by bullfrog though and the cause of the myth that reapers need their own dungeon to stay happy, while in fact their own dungeon with locked doors makes it very, very hard to keep them happy indeed. Reapers stay happy if they keep occupied, fed and paid, and a locked door between them and their money/food is bound to upset them. First thing to do in this map is to unlock both doors and put your reapers in the training room.

The best way to make any creature happy if you do get them upset, is to make them pray in the temple. It is free and fast, and if need be you can keep your reaper praying forever (provided he has not gone psycho yet). If training your reapers is too expensive and you have no temple, they can research, guard and scavenge too to keep them occupied so they do not get angry.
As a bonus trick, Reapers like killing and corpses, so having them kill enemies or standing on corpses (in possession!) makes them happy too.
